@kelseyhightower@mhshams The rent vs buy advice really depends on the market too. Right now buying means high price + high rate, which means renting might actually be better.
@simonsarris Is it really fair to compare the pictures on the left with Home Depot? There’s similar high quality hardware readily available, it’s just less affordable
houses are way more complex now but its hard to source beautiful components. Many large retailers simply carry nothing like this, builders do not know or notice them, so the results are... more simple

Faster to generate than UUIDs, sortable by creation time, easier to copy+paste! Includes support for adding prefixes to an ULID, like "customer_01gqt3b4e99174bm38hnkny728"

@mboylan@bradpurchase What if (hypothetically) the person was hired was unqualified and the reason they got hired was some favor. Lots of ways he could still be guilty.
I’m going to avoid making an opinion on this case until we see all the details.
@bradpurchase@wikiwalk But still, you hire someone to do a job, and they did it poorly, does that mean you’re liable for manslaughter?!? That’s pretty terrifying. DRI for safety could arguably be satisfied by the condition that you hired someone to oversee weapons.
