How to get Gorilla & Chimpanzee Permits in Uganda 🇺🇬? If you desire to go gorilla or chimp trekking, you need a permit from @ugwildlife to access these creatures in the wild and permits can be found at 2 locations: 1. The Tourism Information Center @KampalaSheraton or 2. Th UWA head office at Plot 7 Kira Road, Kampala. For Ugandans, all you need is a National ID. Foreign residents need to provide a residence permit, a dependant pass or a work permit. A dependant pass is granted to children (less than 18 years), spouse and other relatives of a foreign resident with proof of legal stay (Student pass, work permit, certificate of residence) in Uganda. As a Foreign Non Resident, you cannot purchase permits by yourself. You need to contact a tour company registered by Uganda Tourism Board to get it for you. For more information concerning permits, send an email at: reservations@wildlife.go.ug Happy trekking! #ExploreUganda

Did you know, a rhino's horn is not a true horn that is attached to the skull. It grows from the skin and is made up of keratin fibers, the same material found in hair and nails. Venture with us for insightful and interesting adventures☺️ #whiterhinos #ExploreUganda #wildearth

Lions are believed to climb trees as a behavioral adaptation to protecting themselves from the constant irritation of insect bites while lazing on the ground under trees. Moreover, this position is an excellent vantage point from which to observe the movement of prey. #wildearth

The spotted hyena may look unusual, at first sight. It has a large head with a long, thick, muscular neck and powerful jaws that give the hyena the strongest bite of any mammal. Its front legs are longer than its back legs, giving the hyena a profile somewhat like that of a bison

Lake Saaka beheld atop of Kyeganywa Hill in FortPortal is a remarkable blend of 2 distinct formations Its larger expanse, a lava-dammed lake, seamlessly merges with a smaller crater lake, creating a stunning juxtaposition of geological marvels Nature's masterpiece at its finest

Did you know a leopard uses strong muscles to haul its kill into tree branches? where it finds comfort away from scavengers such as hyenas. It can also hunt from trees, where its spotted coat allows it to blend with the leaves until it springs on prey with a deadly pounce. #wild
