There will be no ceasefire on May 9th. "No one has officially asked Ukraine for a ceasefire on May 9th," – Zelenskyy. "A ceasefire for one day, and before that, killing our people – that is, so to speak, dishonest. Today Merefa, yesterday Dnipro – dead, wounded, adults, children. Afterwards, to say: Let's stop for one day to hold a parade – that's not serious. We don't have holidays. After May 9th, they will kill again."

@chronicalguy Hegseth claims he has the highest recruitment rates of any DOD. He also claims we only lost 12 service members in this war. Why then is he reestablishing the draft this year? Why does he need to force our sons (because we know he won’t take our daughters) to join the military?

A massive missile and drone strike on Moscow! New reports indicate a fresh wave of attacks, with Putin reportedly caught in it. Ukraine’s Armed Forces have carried out a powerful, large-scale strike on the Russian capital itself—payback for attacks on Dnipro and other Ukrainian cities. Missiles and drones broke through all layers of air defense and struck targets in central Moscow with precision. Powerful explosions were heard right near the Kremlin. • According to preliminary data, several hits occurred directly on or near the area where Putin was located. • Putin was reportedly caught in the strike—sources say he was in the Kremlin at the time. Black smoke is rising over central Moscow. Secondary detonations continue. Buildings in the government district are damaged. Residents are in shock—sirens, panic, traffic jams on all exits.

@Lina_rays1ya Obama also lived in the White House (as a president is supposed to do) and didn’t take every weekend off costing taxpayers millions every single weekend. He didn’t travel all over the country doing campaign rallies while in office, costing millions more in tax dollars each time.

@WhiteHouse If that’s true, why is he begging to make a deal with Zelenskyy (who doesn’t have any cards) to come bail him out after he started a war he can’t finish? Looks like the tables have turned. Zelenskyy seems to have all the cards now.

Hypothetical question: If a President of the USA is a secret Russian asset, what would he do to help Russia? ChatGPT: Interesting thought experiment—and a useful way to think about incentives and power. If someone in that position were secretly acting in another country’s interest, the key wouldn’t be dramatic, obvious betrayals. It would be subtle, deniable, and cumulative. First, they’d likely undermine alliances quietly. The United States’ biggest strategic advantage is its network—especially NATO. So instead of openly pulling out, they might question its value, delay commitments, create distrust among members, or signal unreliability. Even small cracks weaken collective defense. Second, they could shift foreign policy in ways that benefit Russia without looking extreme. That might mean softening sanctions, slowing military aid to countries Russia opposes (like Ukraine), or reframing conflicts to reduce U.S. involvement. None of that needs to look like “helping Russia”—just “putting America first.” Third, damage internal cohesion. A divided country is less effective abroad. Amplifying polarization, discrediting institutions (courts, elections, intelligence agencies), or constantly creating internal crises reduces the ability of the U.S. to act strategically. That’s something adversaries historically benefit from. Fourth, reshape leadership and bureaucracy. Appointing people who are inexperienced, loyal over competent, or sympathetic to certain narratives can gradually shift how decisions are made. Over time, that changes policy outcomes without needing explicit orders. Fifth, control the narrative. Public opinion matters in democracies. Repeating talking points that align with Russian interests—questioning support for allies, portraying adversaries of Russia as corrupt or unworthy—can steer public sentiment in a favorable direction. Finally, they’d avoid anything blatantly illegal or provable. The whole strategy would depend on plausible deniability. If it’s obvious, it fails. The big picture: influence at that level isn’t about one shocking act—it’s about slowly tilting the system so that, over time, outcomes consistently benefit the other side.

DIAGNOSIS: “TRUMP” Trump once again declared himself a “damn genius,” supposedly confirmed by doctors. Fine. But what he actually demonstrated—again—is something very different. And this time it happened in Florida. “You know, I’m the only president who’s taken a cognitive test. I don’t think Obama could pass it… And Biden? Give me a break… The first question is very simple. There’s a lion, a giraffe, a bear, and a shark. And the question is: which one is the bear? It’s a very standard test, but the last ten questions are very difficult. Not many people—even in this room—would be able to answer them.” The room, which had been laughing, went quiet—then broke into applause. As if to say: yes, Mr. President, we’re the idiots here, not you. And he kept going. “When I got my results, the doctor said: ‘Wow, I’ve never seen anything like this…’” Let’s slow this down. The test Trump is talking about is the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA). It’s a basic screening tool used to detect possible cognitive impairment—dementia, Alzheimer’s, vascular or Parkinsonian issues. It is not an IQ test. It does not measure “genius.” Recognizing a bear isn’t an achievement—it’s a baseline function. These tasks assess visual recognition, language access, attention, and memory. Failing them can indicate neurological problems like agnosia, where a person sees an object but cannot identify it. Passing them simply means those basic functions are intact. Nothing more. The “very difficult” final tasks? Name as many words as possible starting with a given letter in 60 seconds (11+ is considered normal). Explain what a train and a bicycle have in common (they’re both modes of transport). State the current date. That’s the level. If this feels like a major intellectual victory, that’s not reassuring. So what’s actually happening? Trump is using a medical screening tool to sell an image of brilliance. He’s replacing meaning with performance—turning a routine check of cognitive baseline into “proof” of exceptional intelligence. It’s not just incorrect; it’s manipulative. The real purpose of the test is simple: to determine whether an aging person remains cognitively stable. Now, could this behavior itself point to something? Possibly. In the DSM-5—the global standard for diagnosing mental disorders—there’s what’s known as Cluster B: personality disorders marked by dramatic, emotional, and erratic behavior. One of them is Narcissistic Personality Disorder. It’s defined by a persistent pattern of grandiosity, a constant need for admiration, and a lack of empathy. It affects relationships, judgment, and emotional stability. It occurs in about 1–2% of the population, more often in men, and typically begins in early adulthood. On its own, it doesn’t always require treatment. But it becomes a serious issue when it leads to destructive decisions—especially at the level of state power. And that’s where the real question begins.
