@DrJim_Walker @nickluck As Fliss said today, we (Ascot) and others were very open to having the discussion about Raceday Data rights and how best to optimise them for the sport as a whole. We were outvoted.

@willaitkenhead @nickluck Weren’t racecourses determination to retain Raceday Data rights precisely an effort to preserve the status quo? Or am I missing something?

Worth a listen to Fliss for those wanting to understand Ascot’s and others position on industry governance. As she says, things might be difficult but we can’t be forgiven for voting for the status quo time and time again and still complaining about it.
