Check out how Q1 of this year compared to the prior two years from the perspective of a shipper. This is coming out of the @datfreightteam shipper benchmarking dataset so it's sell-side if you're a broker or carrier. Rates are inclusive of fuel.

@ArmchairAtty @teal_andrew @CVSA Keep in mind that this is only 22.3% of the trucks they inspect, not 22.3% of all trucks. It's still a high number though.

That average is mechanical or safety defects on either the truck or trailer. Driver qualification is tracked separately. You can get more granular on the SAFER site. I like the data out of the @CVSA around Int'l Roadcheck as well. Most common stuff is brakes, lights, & tires. cvsa.org/programs/inter…

@ArmchairAtty You have to 1) love that computer. He does seem to have a tablet and a reel-to-reel computer. 2) the doubles trailer design. 3) the fact that the team drivers are wearing crash helmets.
