@dezey17 This week, I don’t know. But prior to now, he’s been with the team at times during preseason and, if I recall correctly, a couple regular season training sessions.

If Totland is fully fit, do you start him over Wallem? What about a Joyner start with Teuchert banged up? Does Córdova earn the nod over Becher? Is Fallou ready for 90 min? If so, is Polvara, Orozco, or Mbacke at RCB? This is the first time the #AllForCITY XI is a big tossup.

We broke down LAFC's first goal yesterday - here's a look at the second goal on Saturday night. After the initial clearance header from Edelman went right to Mathieu Choinière, he took a strong second touch to set up a run towards a shot - right as Dante Polvara turned his head to check his defensive positioning and Edelman had taken a step wide to cover off the always dangerous Bouanga. This created too much space, and by the time both CITY defenders realized Choinière's intention, they were too late in closing down on the shot. Full credit to the Canadian midfielder, however, who placed a perfectly hit ball beyond the outstretched Bürki for his second goal. Tired legs and a momentary lapse of positional awareness from CITY led to the finisher from LAFC.

Timo steps to the ball and forces a distance, low % shot here. Statistically backed — was a 0.03xG chance. He forced the best case scenario given the brutal turnover. I hate to say it, but I’d like for my DP goalkeeper to save that. Yes, it was a good strike (0.39xGOT) but on the surface from 22 yards out.

Let's examine last night's first goal from LAFC, by Mathieu Choinière off the Edelman turnover. When Edelman receives the pass from Durkin, Durkin begins to move as if he's expecting an immediate return pass back on a give-and-go, but Edelman takes an extra touch. This caused Durkin to slow up on his run, and the 20+ ft passing lane between LAFC's Boudri and Segura was closed off by those 2 rotating - Segura to Edelman, Boudri to cover off Durkin. This created a much more difficult pass, which Edelman put entirely the wrong pace on and caused the turnover. As Choinière dribbled towards the goal, Timo made the decision to step forward to contest, however, instead of a strong move to force either a pass or shot or attempt a block, he drifted sideways. This offered no resistance to Choinière, who placed a nice shot back behind him for the match winner. Once again CITY is burned by multiple mistakes on a play and with their lack of goal scoring giving themselves no margin for error at all, it was the difference between a possible point on the road and nothing.

Second half sees Córdova enter for Teuchert. Hope he’s okay. Becher drops under. #AllForCITY Bürki Orozco-Baumgartl-Polvara Wallem-Durkin-Edelman-Santos Becher-Hartel Córdova

Now LAFC player throws ball away from STL during an STL restart, right in front of referee, and he does nothing. It should be a booking. This ref is paid off.

St. Louis CITY SC have gone punch for punch with the best in the West. HALFTIME | LAFC 0 - 0 STL Notes: - STL grew into the match big time. Could easily have a few goals, and did have one that got waved off for no reason. - Teuchert so calm on the ball - Durkin-Edelman continuing to show improvement every match; so far they’ve only had a few moments that left them vulnerable, and Durkin has been fantastic on both sides of the ball. - Back line has been solid. Bürki hasn’t been tested outside of a shot that rang off the post as a result of the turf monster getting Baumgartl; #AllForCITY have had 4 players slip and fall through 45 min. - Wallem and Santos creating opportunities on the wings, but again I preach: drive to the endline more (especially Wallem)

are you actually serious??? there is absolutely no world where that’s no-goal. #AllForCITY Durkin also got called for a foul in the 4th minute that was, if anything, a foul on LAFC. First time I’ve said a word about officiating in an STL match in 2026

Fallou Fall is not ready for #AllForCITY this weekend, but judging by Damet's comments I think he will be available off the bench next weekend. Mbacke is available, still working up his fitness and expectations. Work in progress. Via @MattBakerSTL's question in the presser.

In their Wednesday CCC matchup, Klauss and the @LAGalaxy wore black armbands in honor of Ilona Löwen, Edu’s wife who passed away from cancer this week. Klauss explained the importance in postgame comments. An absolute class act by a class friend who was there through so much. #AllForCITY #AllForEdu h/t @GalaxyPodcast for the comments
