Hey #PowerBI users; is there any way you can add data alerts for the #fabric Capacity Metrics app? Any tips?

First #TC23 down…. Honestly didn’t meet a lot of people in the #DataFam but was able to attend a good bit. A few lessons learned as a first timer….

@_gringuinho_ @HighVizAbility Of course—I think I was just digesting that particular tweet :) For me, a huge part of understanding is effective data modeling. Of course, the UI/UX, order of ops, etc are in the mix too.

@willchamp_ I'd challenge that and say no. What I look for as a hiring manager really aligns more with what @HighVizAbility said. Advanced Tableau means understanding those items plus how do you scale out and scale up dashboards, UX/UI design, and increased speed without impacting quality.

Is advances Tableau actually just geometry and trigonometry 🤔

@willchamp_ I'd say along with data structure, data densification, order of operations, and understanding how LODs and Table Calcs work in all of that.

Does anyone have any good Tableau Bridge resources? Somebody connected to a SQL Server instance, but didn’t actually create/publish a data source. Any way I can do that via bridge without connecting directly to SQL Server/via cloud? I don’t have the SQL Server credentials 🥵🥵

@FlerlageKev That’s exactly what I was getting at, and given it’s an on prem server, seems like the other party will need to publish first

@willchamp_ Not sure I follow exactly, but if you’re using Bridge with Tableau Cloud/Online and you want to refresh a SQL data source, you need to publish that data source.
