The raw pent-up emotion just poured out at the final whistle. Years of hurt felt like it ended that day. We all did the same.
I think he also thought it was won.
He who laughs last, laughs longest.
He rarely showed emotion after that. Very noticeable. He grew as a manager. Most of the time he was solemn-faced after a victory and focused on the next game. Very noticeable in the 55 season.
No matter what you think of Steven Gerrard, he became one of us.
