@willlerch There are few relay spot is still wide open especially in 4x200 with Huske and Gemmell has a good shot to make the team and I think the likely one that looked fast since last year is Peplowski

@Braden_Keith I think if this happens again next year it will remain “2nd tier elites”, but there will be a bump in the quality of those 2nd tier guys. I think some swimmers were sitting at home jealous of how much $$$ was being won by people who they perceived to be “3rd tier” finishing 4th.

The fundamental flaw of the Enhanced Games is elite athletes won't risk their careers and legacies for $125k but subpar athletes who will won't break records no matter what they pump into their bodies because their bodies aren't capable of elite performances to begin with

Corporate sponsors won’t care that several of Anna Moesch’s medals could be for swimming the same stroke/distance on different relays, they’ll just see the potential for a HUGE (Gold!) medal haul and throw money at her. She’s going to be one of the faces of the games at LA 2028.

Biedermann broke his 200 Free record in 2009, Lochte broke his 200 IM record in 2009, Milak broke his 200 Fly record in 2019, Dressel broke his 100 Fly record in 2019, Marchand broke his 400 IM record in 2023

Beyond what happens in the pool, I was hopeful the Enhanced Games had the resources to put on a high production value event to teach us something about how to make swim meets entertaining.
They…have not.

There’s a lot of hypocrisy. Katherine Hepburn won four Academy Awards and one time I saw a guy at the mall wearing a t-shirt that said “Where’s The Beef?”. It’s like, what are we doing here?
