100 pupils from 20 schools are @SamWhitAcademy today for the annual Shefford and Stotfold Student Conference. This year’s focus was on wellbeing, and highlights included a session with BEST Mindfulness Coach Will George and a carousel of activities, from boxing to music to art.

Both of my daughters have mentioned a number of times the Mindfulness practices that they have learnt in school and how they have been able to use these at home.
My eldest voiced her frustration with me that she missed her last mindfulness session of the year for a doctor's appointment! 😂

@tombennett71 What if it’s about the general disposition + attitude teachers can bring toward a challenging class?Knowing ‘needs shape behaviour’ means taking challenging bhvr less personally, responding less combatively + leaning toward compassion over judgement; better class dynamic overall?

That's just great. Unfortunately it is hopelessly impractical for a classroom teacher with 30 students who has to get them to understand algebra. Telling teachers they have to magically psychoanalyse bad behaviour away is like telling a drowning man to breathe water.
