Jez - 🇬🇧 Creative Strategist
Before vs After you hire a "Full-Stack Agency" as a rapidly growing brand making $235k/pm who was sold the dream (They are now held hostage by the agency they signed who no longer cares about them as they have 72 clients) 🤣 Ps. You may be thinking... so what do you do Jez? 👉 I'm an ex-Head of Growth turned Creative Strategist

Exactly 10 months into starting this brand we just crossed 8 figures Could have been more, could have been faster but inventory and cashflow can be difficult while bootstrapping and funding everything from profit as you go. Literally started with a PO of 250pcs and $100 a day ad budget The next $10m will come much, much faster now Will do an article on biggest learnings I had along the way to get me get here with zero debt, 100% ownership zero employees and around 30% EBITDA if there is enough interest

PSA for Shopify Payments users: Your chargeback rate may look higher as of yesterday. Don't panic. Shopify changed their frontend display to include RDR-covered disputes. But here's what matters: the backend risk metric is unchanged. As of today they are still sending the post-RDR dispute rate in risk-related notifications and presumably using this for risk decisioning. This has been further confirmed by Shopify support. Ethoca/CDRN alerts remain hidden from the chargeback rate. Chargeback alerts are still the best tool to reduce your likelihood of reserves or terminations.

@DTCMidas Hi G, wanted to ask you a quick question whats your process when you go poaching creative strategist from agencies on linkedin. Do you pay for a consulting call and ask them all the questions you have in mind to see if they fit the role or what do you do specifically.

If you’re trying to win in a solution aware market, I’d just go ham on ‘Us vs Them’. B2B SaaS companies are the best at this, they go very aggressive with their ads and LP’s - would recommend taking inspiration from them.
Skyg@walidxxo

@DTCMidas If your market soph is solution aware when you rip winning ads from other brands to create win ads for you do you do it a certain way like for example ripping ads that actually adress the skepticism instead of the problems?

Just over 2 weeks into this brand and we got our first 1,000 subs. 87% take rate, all white hat and front end profitable. No complicated funnels or borage of free gifts with purchase nobody gives a fuck about. First time running a sub brand so looking forward to digging into the different challenges that come with this territory. Lets go

In the beginning I trained creative strategists myself. Now poaching them 😈 Mainly from agencies. Using LinkedIn to find and reach out to them.
Ky@kyh1_

@DTCMidas Whats your hiring strat with these guys? Do you look for people with good fundamentals and then train them yourself or are you poaching people with lots of experience? (If you’re poaching pls tell us from where 😝)

My top spending ad last 14 days is a static, it's been in the top 3 last 30 days No, it's not bottom of funnel Yes, it is prospecting If you think statics can't scale at the same level or better than video, as always 100% a skill issue Problem is most people are so stuck in a box and show absolutely zero creativity when it comes to statics 99% I see are headline and product image or product and benefit call out. BORING If you're one of these people then yeah, your'e not likely gonna be able to scale statics meaningfully I think the only people I see posting on here that seem to understand the static game are: @kamal_razzak @AbyssusErigo @harrydelmege_ @DTCMidas

Today I sold all my crypto. This is enough for me. I turned $100 into $2 million in 4 years. I don’t know how many Xs or what percentage of profit that is, but for me, it’s enough. Now I can invest in lower-risk assets and live the rest of my life comfortably. Thank you for everything.

$217k for Feb, month 2 of this brand. Biggest lessons were: - ride momentum as hard as possible - have really good creatives & creative volume - don’t be scared to test things, every new test could increase margins Grateful for the month. Locking in hard for March. 📈

On March 5th, we identified $KTA at $0.022. We were among the first to spot this opportunity before it gained attention. Months later, the price soared to $1.74, delivering a 79x return. Only @LME_Syndicate 🤷🏻‍♂️
