While I agree, I think ppl forget that many trans men who transition later in life (me incl) have lived a whole life being socialized & perceived as a woman in a patriarchal society. Freezing up when sensing a potentially dangerous situation with cis men is a remnant of that - 🧵

contrary to popular belief, while this may work in rare cases, statistics show that men who commit violent crimes towards women usually *do* target the polite/quiet ones because in they are seen as less likely to resist. so in other words: be loud, it’s a weirdo’s worst nightmare.
