I’m just so confused. Are the tariffs supposed to pay off our debt, as we give trillions of tax cuts to the wealthy... Or... Are they a bold new strategy to stop a whopping 0.03 pounds of fentanyl, last month, from sneaking in from Canada? Or does he actually have no idea what he’s doing?

Just booked a ski trip to Canada. I think it was the right thing to do for multiple reasons.

Spare me the sob story about how Canada is our “best friend.” I love Canada and have many Canadian friends. But is the government meeting their NATO target for military spending? Are they stopping the flow of drugs into our country? I’m sick of being taken advantage of.

Mexico sends ton of fentanyl into our country. Canada has seen a massive increase in fentanyl trafficking across its border. There are three ways of stopping this. The first is ask nicely, which we’ve done. It’s gone nowhere. Now we’re on to the consequences phase.

Canada should look to the pause in tariffs with Mexico as a model. Stop the invasion. Stop the drug trade. Put increased security across the border and then we'll make a deal on trade. But Canada would do well to remember that their economy is far more dependent on America. We can live without Canadian imports. Can Candada live without exports to America? This will not end well for Canada if they don't make real concessions.
