I think the reason why elbows up Canadians hate Trump so much is because, for the first time ever, he forced them to look in the mirror and see their own weakness. For the first time in their lives they were confronted with the reality that their passports didn’t make them special and that the reality was they were dependent on the very people they looked down on for their most basic survival needs. It shattered the image they had of themselves. And they hate him for it.

When I watch a video like this, where a grown man (and I use that term loosely) is screaming at an elderly woman, and then he boldly posts it online like it’s something to be proud of, the only thing I can think is: if he thinks this behaviour is normal enough to show the world, imagine what he’s like behind closed doors.

I started filming, because the sight of a camera usually gets them to back off. She ripped my shirt while trying to grab my phone. I'm used to filming. Not accurate. Food inflation rose across every G7 country after COVID due to global supply shocks and energy prices. Canada’s food inflation has actually fallen faster than several peers since 2023.
