I am blown away by the engineering team @RiscZero to set industry standards - RISC-V zkVM: The first general purpose zkVM - Continuations: Scalable memory argument for zkVMs - Zeth: First block prover for OP and type 0 zkEVM - Efficient distributed proving stack (Bonsai/Bento) - Kailua: Most sophisticated ZK fraud proofs on the market - Steel: A contract call library for easily building EVM co-processors - Boundless: The first open, fully decentralized market for zkps in production - The Signal: The first client to prove Ethereum finality Happy to be apart of a team pushing the industry forward with open source contributions.

📣🦄 PSA: Uniswap v4-core (PoolManager) is entering a code-freeze soon™️ What does this mean? v4 features will be considered code complete. 🟣 No more features, additions, or refactors 🟣 No more breaking changes (i.e. the removal of hook permissions, how dynamic fees are implemented) How will the code-freeze impact developers? Developers and teams will be able to confidently: ⚪ Implement hooks ⚪ Create interfaces ⚪ Implement position managers and other periphery contracts ⚪ Write production-ready code without looming mandatory refactors What's next? After the code-freeze, core contracts will enter audits. v4 is on track to be deployed later this year. Stay tuned for further updates on the code-freeze in the coming weeks.

Now that the launch of Dencun on Mainnet has been scheduled for March 2024, we're excited to provide an update to the community! 🎉 Uniswap v4's launch is tentatively set for Q3 2024. From community-built Hooks (uniswaphooks.com), to events, to Twitter Spaces, the momentum for v4 has been growing! At the same time, we believe v4 should be the most rigorously audited code ever deployed on Ethereum—the roadmap below reflects a comprehensive plan to ensure this: 👩‍💻 Phase 1: Code Freeze (in progress) Core code completion, testing, gas optimizations, security enhancements, and finalizing the periphery. 🧪 Phase 2: Auditing and Testnet Comprehensive auditing by multiple audit firms and a community audit contest. In parallel, v4 will be deployed to testnet, and final adjustments will be made to the code. 🦄 Phase 3: Launch Push v4 is pushed to Mainnet ETH in Q3. Make sure you’re following @UniswapFND and @Uniswap Labs for more updates as the v4 launch approaches.

@ETHPandaa Sure, but lets say tomorrow i launch a new amazing hook with some innovation, and liquidity migrates there. Now the users of your router won’t be able to benefit! I think we should aim to do better than allowlisting specific hooks

For both problem 1 and 2, if the router limit the hooks it can select, it will really help. Only a few useful and benign hooks can be allowed. That “normal mode” is enough for 99% of users. For pro traders, they can enable a pro mode to select from all kinds of hooks. I think 99% of traffic will comes from “normal mode”. This will reduce the routing complexity perhaps by 90%.

1/ Why swap routing in V4 is one of the most impactful unsolved problems in defi.. 🧵👇🧵👇

@jordanfrankfurt One example would be making your hook take no fee during simulation, so the quote looks good, but during execution take a massive fee, maybe so big that the transaction should revert

@willpote How would you accomplish something like this? (the same mismatched event/state args, or something else?)

11/ The good news? V4 is at least 4-6 months away from being deployed, so we’ve all got time to solve this problem together. Also, Uniswap's routing algorithm is open source, so you can always follow our progress at github.com/uniswap/smart-…. Good luck 🦄🦄🦄🦄

10/ Moreover, V4's singleton design makes creating pools and executing multi-pool swaps much cheaper.. so not only are there many more pools, we can expect the most optimal swap routes to be way more complex with many more hops!
