THE SPREAD (global race) The research isn't happening in one place. The HIV trials are sponsored by the US National Institutes of Health. The long COVID trial is being run by UCSF. The glioblastoma trial is at ImmunityBio with the Optune device. The lung cancer Phase 3 is a head-to-head against standard chemotherapy. These aren't fringe studies. They're government-funded, peer-reviewed, and published in Nature Medicine. The question isn't whether this mechanism is real. It's how far it reaches. clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT04340… aidsmap.com/news/jul-2025/…

THE LANDSCAPE (beyond cancer) Here's what most people don't know about Anktiva: It's not just being tested for bladder cancer. Active clinical trials right now: — Glioblastoma (brain cancer) — 100% disease control in early Phase 2 data — Pancreatic cancer — FDA fast-tracked. One patient in remission 6+ years. — Lung, ovarian, non-Hodgkin lymphoma — multiple Phase 2 trials And beyond cancer: — HIV: 'kick and kill' strategy in trials — 58% of participants stayed off HIV medication at 6 months (ACTG trial, published Nature Medicine) — Long COVID: Phase 2 trial open NOW, recruiting patients (No established treatment exists for long COVID. 1 in 5 Americans affected.) This is an immune system platform. Not a single drug for one disease. immunitybio.com/find-a-trial/

THE APPROVALS That bladder cancer trial was just the beginning. Since the U.S. approval in 2024: → The UK approved it (MHRA) → Saudi Arabia approved it for LUNG cancer — January 2026 → The EU issued a positive opinion for conditional approval — February 2026 One drug. Three continents. Three regulatory bodies. All moving in the same direction. But the approvals aren't even the biggest part of this story.

THE DATA The trial that got it FDA-approved: → 77 patients with bladder cancer who'd already failed every standard treatment available to them → 62% had complete disappearance of detectable cancer → 40% remained cancer-free for 2+ years Without chemotherapy. For context, most drugs in this space see 20–30% response rates.

THE MECHANISM Think of your immune system as a radio. Anktiva doesn't add new components. It turns up the volume on a signal that was already there. Scientifically: it mimics IL-15 — a protein your body already uses — and amplifies it, telling your natural killer cells to multiply faster and fight harder. No poison. No hair loss. Your own defense system. Cranked up.

THE BIOLOGY Right now, inside your body, there are cells called Natural Killer cells. Their only mission: find abnormal cells and destroy them. In most cancer patients — maybe someone you love — they don't show up in big enough numbers, or stay active long enough, to win. A drug called Anktiva changes that. anktiva.com/hcp/about-ankt…

BREAKING: The FDA approved a cancer drug in 2024 that doesn't use chemotherapy. Instead, it powers up the immune cells you were BORN with. In trials, 62% of patients had all detectable cancer disappear completely. This is not hype. Here's what it actually is — and why it doesn't stop with cancer. 🧵

Trump pulls back 21 tractor-trailer loads of food going to Tennessee. The trucks contained nearly $1 million worth of food—over 377,000 lbs of nutritious proteins and dairy—meant to feed more than 200,000 people. "For Tennessee, the impact is immediate," the food bank said. Trump cut funding for the Emergency Food Assistance Program under the U.S. Department of Agriculture—directly leading to the cancelation of food deliveries to Second Harvest Food Bank in Maryville, Tennessee. What will happen to perishable food already in the supply line? #DemVoice1 #wtpBLUE #DemsUnited

Rep. Seth Moulton torches Hegseth’s failure: “If a junior Guardsman did what Pete Hegseth did, they’d be fired, stripped of clearance, and probably prosecuted.” But Hegseth? Still SecDef. Still lying. Still putting lives at risk. No honor. No accountability. No excuse.

Following recent calls to impeach federal judges, Speaker Johnson is now floating the idea of eliminating some federal courts completely.  The judiciary is a key part of our democratic system. It would be incredibly dangerous to push this agenda.  nbcnews.com/politics/congr…

It turns out Jeffrey Goldberg wasn't the only unauthorized individual in the Signal group chat. Trump nominee Joe Kent, who has yet to be confirmed by the U.S. Senate, was also in the group as they discussed top secret war plans. meidasnews.com/news/trump-adm…

Rep. Chris Deluzio: “If any of us had done this as junior enlisted or junior officers… we’d be court-martialed. You’d likely end up in Fort Leavenworth...” Trump’s team played fast and loose with war plans. There must be consequences—and no one is above the law.

I’m furious, because right now, the Trump Administration is being absolutely reckless with our national security. There must be an investigation — and there must be accountability. The White House needs to clean house over this breach of military plans.

Putting a reporter in a Signal chat where you’re planning airstrikes, that’s careless. Sharing information that puts our pilots' lives at risk — that’s reckless.
