@Keir_Starmer @Keir_Starmer I recently hit a pothole in Fleet, writing off my wheel. I made a claim only to be told the council didn’t know about the hole for long enough - void. I’m sure if this was the other way I’d be prosecuted. So, next time I’ll send a calendar invite for the event.

Potholes have a huge financial impact on working people and small businesses – that's why I want to see them fixed. We’ve done our part by handing councils the cash and certainty they need, now it’s up to them to get on with the job.

We are shocked and desperately saddened to learn that the famous Sycamore Gap tree at Hadrian's Wall has been felled overnight, in what appears to be an act of vandalism. We know just how much this iconic tree is loved locally, nationally and by everyone who has visited. We are working with our partners to understand what has happened and what can be done. The incident has also been reported to the police.
