Spotted my second great horned owl pair this month in the Bronx! 🦉 Hootin' and perched together in the same tree, with the female particularly vocal despite the city's din. A fantastic start to Thanksgiving weekend and two for two on my outings this month.

During my birthday weekend a few weeks ago, I made a detour to see a pair of (continuing) great horned owls in the Bronx. I was thrilled to find them perched together on the same branch. Such a treat!

In a Bronx parking lot last night, this Canada goose and four of her five goslings, poked their heads up from a tree pit after being roused by a moving vehicle and its bright headlamp. Baby number five hid out of sight, while Dad kept a close watch 🦢🌧️ Happy Mother’s Day!
