As someone who played at a decent level as a GK, Neuer is simply better, and you’re simply being a hipster if you say buff. Buff may be a slightly better shot stopper, but it’s marginal. When you factor in all areas of a gk like distribution and commanding the box Neuer is clear. He literally revolutionised the position... even Alisson has said this.

Buffon's whole gimmick was playing in his 40's while a washed Neuer is still making several big saves & being a sweeper keeper at the Bernabeu at age 40.
That's not even mentioning how Neuer single handedly influenced a whole generation of young goalkeepers. Never compare them again, Neuer is miles clear.
