Please be accurate. We accept one can have moral assurance of salvation. What we deny is *absolute* assurance. We recognize people can deceive themselves and convince themselves the are saved when they are not. No need to misrepresent us when you can actually say what we really believe.

Why would anyone convert from non-religious (28% fear death) to catholic (39% fear death)?
Christianity's most basic tenet is that God's gift to us is eternal life.

No one is more fearful of dying than Catholics. 39% said they afraid or very afraid of dying. For Protestants, it was 20%. For the non-religious it was 28%

For the same reason the Apostles appointed teachers instead of printing Bibles.
For the same reason Calvin and Luther wrote books explaining the Bible.
There are many difficult things in scripture. Without approved teachers even a perfect book can be misused.
