Launch ads Monday & Tuesdays. Friday-Sunday, group winners using POST ID into consolidated adsets. This strategy has been ripping for us - we're getting MORE spend out of the winners, and we have less garbage ads on. We only started this a couple of weeks ago and they're now our top spending adsets. Our frequency has also dropped as we have less adsets running.

This week, like many other weeks in 2026 (2025 / 2024 / 2023 / 2022...) Meta ads simply broke. You probably haven't heard a peep from Meta on it, but it's been brutal. We're talking turning ad accounts off brutal. Some of you were probably 100% immune. Others had no idea because your teams suddenly tried shifting their creative / offers. Others work with agencies that probably set it and forgot it. Whatever it may be... I sound like a broken record here venting. But this just simply is becoming more and more unacceptable at the sheer level of these bugs. There feels like no recourse. No post-mortems. No true apologies. Just simply, break then kill a brand's performance for around a week, get a small refund, then move on to the next time it breaks. I'm tired guys. I know X is here to post about AI automations and how awesome I am, but the reality is this week (much like many other weeks prior) I find myself being therapist to CMOs and brand teams trying to figure out is this a bug, a creative issue, or the business. More and more it's a bug. I want Meta to be stable, but every year from Feb - May it's just a mess. Do we simply just pull budget during Meta's annual bug season? I'm out of answers personally but on behalf of the brands that pay me to manage advertising across every ad platform, I'd like some answers from Meta because it's the only one plagued with these issues at this scale.

We got fired for the first time last month. And it was one of my proudest moments as an agency owner. Not because we did a bad job. We got fired because the brand decided to hire our Growth Operator and make him their Director of Ecommerce. Most agencies would be pissed. We were proud. I set up BA's client agreements to allow for this exact path on purpose (with a reasonable referral fee aligned on from day one). If it's good for the brand and good for the employee, (imho) an agency has no business blocking it. So hats off to Ranier Olegario-Nebel and the team at Stars + Honey 🥳 It's going to be really fun to watch you all keep crushing it.

Would be really cool if fb allowed you to run sequential ads E.g. show Ad A today, ad B 1-3 days from now, ad C 4-6 days from now Push customers through different awareness phases. Would be expert level as you could burn a lot of $$$, but for the truly cracked marketers could be great.

How you measure halo from Meta and TikTok on Amazon performance. What's your methodology? 3. Your real POV on DSP. When does it make sense and when doesn't it? 4. How you protect brand search without overspending it, and how you test into nonbrand without burning budget. No decks. No buzzwords. No intro calls. Math and logic only. Show me what you've got and let's grow some brands together. Open to recommendations/intros from other operators.

A @StubHub @coachella story to get your morning started… 3 months ago I purchased 2 Coachella passes on Stubhub for $812 each.The in hand shipping date was yesterday via FedEx. For a week I have called and been told wait until Tuesday the week of. I called yesterday afternoon and was told my original seller didn’t come through but don’t worry a replacement link would be sent. My hotel is booked, my flight is booked but I have no ticket. There are passes available on their site currently but for double the price I paid. I waited all night for the replacement link. Nothing. I just received an email this morning that my order is cancelled and a refund will be coming. Awful experience! Now because of a trash seller and a trash site I have to buy a new passes today from another site for 2k each. I wasted weeks and now am paying an extra $2600 for 2 tickets Stubhub didn’t deliver. Look at the current market…⬇️⬇️

Does anyone use Amazon Go? We used to go to a restaurant called Stacked that had decent food, but no waiters who took your order (order was on an iPad). And we also had Fresh & Easy, a supermarket that was all self check and very few employees. All of them feel/felt soulless and varying shades of dystopian. The fundamental mistake is the belief that human interaction is a problem to be overcome.

This is shutting down and it encapsulates the blindspot of technologists and PE. The enjoyment of the activity, the indirect serendipity of life, and the agency of choice are all missing from this idea. The grocery store is one of the last places where we still all go (yes the HNW techbros will claim they do pickup and avoid this, they also can't cook). It's a place where teens get their first jobs. Where you can interact with deli guy. You can select from what's fresh and looks good. You develop your own preferences - do you like your bananas green or ripe? If you optimize every part of your life for more time, what do you want to spend that time on? Twitter? Shopping for the food that you serve to you and your family seems a great use of time and benefits the community.
