@CollegeHoopsTIk You just simply haven’t watched Illinois basketball play before yesterday. That’s clear. That’s how they played offense all season. And guess who had the most efficient offense all season? Illinois. It’s not the same as the way Hurley runs his. They’re simply different.

The reason Illinois struggled making shots is because their offensive coordinator didn’t run any action to ensure high-percentage looks. ISO into a waiting defense or flat-footed threes without any action isn’t the move. But that’s fine. A F4 is a F4. Learn from it. Adapt.

Dan Hurley (UConn) has really out coached Brad Underwood (Illinois) today. UConn running off ball double screens, multiple passes, in and out sets, etc Meanwhile Illinois just handing it to Wagler or Stojakovic and iso-ing all game. Easy to guard and predictable offense.

@winter_chad @ChiSportsTweetr Maybe so. What I saw was Boswell go over every screen and then lose Boyd en route to the basket. But the screen action was 3ft behind the arc. I'll take my chances letting Boyd shoot from there instead of at the rim.

Brad Underwood has been awesome for this program. Brad Underwood routinely gets out-coached in close games. Both those things can be true.

@bradpierson @ChiSportsTweetr Boswell is one of the best guard defenders in CBB. You drop a big and have him go under the screen loses all advantage. Send the big up for the blitz force out of Blackwell and Boyds hands and make someone else beat us. They didn’t have Winter either. Horrible late game coaching.
