The Maps driving experience is also evolving with Immersive Navigation, featuring clearer visuals and intuitive guidance. You’ll be able to see the buildings, overpasses and terrain around you in a vivid 3D view, made possible with help from Gemini models. You’ll also be able to: 👀 See more of your route to prepare for what’s next. 🤔 Understand tradeoffs for alternate routes to pick what works best for you. 🛣️ Arrive easily with helpful details like parking and entrance information. Immersive Navigation starts rolling out today across the U.S. and will expand in coming months to eligible iOS and Android devices, CarPlay, Android Auto and cars with Google built-in.

Holy moly this was my dream when Gemini started, to make video tutorials on highly technical topics. I took my old post showing Muon Shampoo relation x.com/_arohan_/statu… and gave that to NoteBookLM to make a cinematic video. It did it! Now Imagine using something like this but changing this to @karpathy giving this lecture! 🤯

Notebook LM cinematic video explainers. Generation has been going for an hr! Should be interesting what comes out.

You genuinely cant fake *big model smell* in smaller models like 5.3. The depth reveals itself no matter how RL maxxed it is. Any prompt even asking for how spongebob is a communist you see the difference in depth

Launching soon as a beta feature in the Gemini app for #Pixel10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy S26 series, you can offload multi-step tasks directly to Gemini. Simply long-press the power button and ask Gemini to help book you a ride home or reorder your last meal. Gemini will work seamlessly in the background, so you can keep using your phone.

Your "usual" is now just a tap away. ☕️🍕Starting as a beta feature, Gemini can assist you with tasks across select rideshare and food apps. Just ask Gemini to handle your grocery cart, food delivery, or ride home. Gemini does the work, but you’re in control 🪄

@TMTLongShort Mostly agree but why don't we see every major player have their own Isomorphic Labs? There isn't parity between labs there like there is with language models.

Many people seem to forget that Dario was previously a post-doc at Stanford with a PhD in biophysics and was on his way to a professorship at Stanfords medical school. Larry Ellison isn’t betting the farm on AI because he loves Sam. He thinks it’s his one shot at living another decade. Machine god is for solving cancer. Infinite goon-slop is a happy side-effect on the way there. People in biotech and pharma are way too cynical after decades of stagnation due to govt bottlenecks and lack of capital. That is about to change. youtu.be/68ylaeBbdsg?si…

@navneet_rabdiya @burkov ?? It wasn't just a single benchmark though. It jumped 80% in agentic long time horizon tasks (APEX). It jumped (40%) in computer use. It improved over 10% from 3.0 on 11 different benchmarks in the image.

@burkov yep - I've seen this pattern before. When a model suddenly spikes on a single benchmark while staying flat on others, it's usually overfit training data rather than a real capability gain. real improvements tend to lift multiple related metrics together

This is why these benchmark improvements are all crap. Gemini 3.1 has marginal improvements compared to the competition on all benchmarks but one: Useless-Puzzles-2. This means only one thing: they have finetuned 3.1 Pro specifically to improve on this single benchmark without modifying the underlying architecture. Tomorrow, someone releases another useless benchmark, and Gemini will suck on it until the benchmark becomes hyped and they add the training data for this benchmark to the finetuning dataset. So boring.

Loving Gemini 3.1 Pro! It made 3 huge improvements to my compiler and saw things that even ChatGPT 5.2 Pro Extended and Claude Opus 4.6 Extended couldn't see.
