Lots of ideas. Some aren’t nonsense. I practice Karate and Kundalini. Neurodiverse. Personal account that has nothing to do with my day job.

@wirecrats @LeiperOttawa Certain areas need to be left alone from over-densification, and Westboro is certainly one of them. I’m not a supporter of Leiper, but he got this one right. I don’t know anyone in the Westboro neighbourhood or surrounding area who would disagree, and that isn’t “NIMBYism.”

@MacLeodLisa Absolutely. He is opposing housing replacing a funeral home on Richmond road because he doesn’t think apartment buildings are suitable for main streets. Earlier on in his tenure he declared a “nuclear option” to stop westboro triplexes.

@1ssve A more diverse population. Drinking either forbidden or less of a big deal socially in some cultures. That and Gen Z being healthier. This is great news.

Serious Question: The alcohol industry has lost $830 billion in the last 4 years, because Gen Z is not drinking. Why do you think they aren’t drinking?

@PunkRockStory Such a joke. I’m old enough for remember that the Rolling Stone basically ignored punk and new wave and stuck with its love for prog rock. They didn’t even review the X-ray spex album. Magazine was a joke then. Still is. Ignore.

@mchkzn I think you should stay on X as you know and have following. Pay for Bluesky check for just one month. Sometimes they have specials. Set up a subscription at really low cost like $3 per month. See if enough of your follower subscribe to may for monthly blue check. If not cancel.

What about Tumblr? Does anyone even go on Tumblr anymore? Should I start using that? Do I even know how to use Tumblr ?

@mchkzn Tumblr is certainly not for you. Other than X, Facebook would be your best bet.

@mchkzn The content would lend itself well but it is a weird very ideological group think culture.

What about Reddit ? Would anyone follow me to Reddit ? I’d be limited to 20 photos per post (so 19 photos plus a map). But it’s better than nothing for now. And you don’t need an account to view the photos, just to comment. Just an idea, I’m floating around…..

@wirecrats I feel like a scammer doing that. Unfortunately The Walking Guy has no budget, and, in fact, operates at a loss.

Well folks, I hate to say this but I think I’m at the end of the line here. Looks like there’s a new limit of 50 original posts per day for unverified users. That’s just not going to work for me and my walking. Going forward, I likely won’t post my walking photos anymore.

@Inb4Jordan @ajulysantos @mapleblooded You are totally right. I grilled one of these. Was horrible. I cut up and made a curry of the other two. This is deceivingly sold as a steak to grill when it is essentially low quality stewing meat.

@ajulysantos @mapleblooded Rib cut vs striploin lol, that's something you stew, basically like knawing on a piece of rubber.

3 strip loins and 2 bags of coffee. $112.82. And the coffee was $9 cheaper if you buy two bags. What even is this country now? I don’t want to hear any Boomers bring up mortgage rates in the 80s ever again.

I’m in the “this is very bad news” camp, rather than “good for the kids!” camp. We all turned out pretty awesome having a 12th grade year, where you could work part-time, your marks still mattered, you would drink occasionally, & you certainly (oh, the horror!) were sexually active. I think a kid now w/ none of these things focused upon….is in for a very rough next several decades. 😑

Skipping drinks with colleagues, friends, and women in your 20s & 30s to “protect your health” is quietly sabotaging your career, your social circle, and your dating life. Learn to drink responsibly. A few drinks build bonds that kale smoothies never will.

@guyfelicella It’s not an either or. Before consumption sites were a thing, drug use in front of children was highly unethical. It still is. One can be compassionate without giving an individual free rein to do whatever they want especially when it harms others. Shaking my head.

If you don't support supervised consumption sites then I guess you support open drug use in front of people .... including children 🤯

@gregbradyx For soccer SMH. If they paid me that I would likely go but would still need to think about it.

The first Canada match in Toronto is 4 weeks from Friday. I’m told at least 3500-4000 tickets are still unsold. Canada Soccer put tickets for all 3 Group matches in all 3 price categories on sale today. My friend sent me a screenshot after logging on to examine the prices. I get the once-in-lifetime value of this, I truly do - but there’s a been a clear combination of gouging, AND miscalculating the market. They’ve been unable to sell 45K tickets in Toronto/55K in VAN. Imagine if it was 70K+, like most of the NFL stadiums. The public will always set the price in the modern marketplace - not the other way around.

@PhilPerkinsCP24 That has never been shown in any municipality ever. Which is the entire purpose for our municipal, regional, and provincial planning structures. There is a deep history of unchecked individual atrocities in Ontario that have affected the greater general public.

Example #1,234,560 Toronto is no fun: it's finally nice out, asked coffee shop if they have patio chairs they answer that they can't bring them out because their permit hasn't been mailed in. Is anything organic anymore?!!!! Just the strange ice structure?!!
