@GMB @susannareid100 Anyone who follows @GeorgeMonbiot’s writings knows he’s eloquent, well-informed and deeply committed. His tears give a sense of his increasing despair. I found many of your reactions superficial and condescending. He’s more concerned about your future than you are. So sad.

@GeorgeMonbiot is eminently informed and grieving for the potentially uninhabitable planet we’re creating in the name of business-as-usual. If only others felt this grief, especially our so-called leaders, we might have commensurate action to face the #climate #crisis.

@Amy_Siskind @staceyabrams @MsLaToshaBrown This brought tears to my eyes too. It literally seems that he is there serving as an invisible hand or bridge, helping people to cross the chasm. Talk about living on after your physical life has ended. Deep admiration also for @staceyabrams and all who helped make this happen.

I couldn’t agree more @GretaThunberg! I’m a climate voter and would have preferred another candidate but I’m 100% behind #Biden at this point because that’s the only way we can preserve democracy and have a chance at dealing with the #climatecrisis.

As a New Yorker, you learn to tune out the street sounds, to the extent you even miss them when you’re away. But absolutely no one can block out the constant sound of ambulance sirens wailing 24/7 right now. Each one is piercing and heartbreaking.
