@ian_845846 You guys brought the curtain down on F1 as we used to know it. Hard, fast and fun. RIP EJ. 🙏🏻

Happy Birthday Roberto Moreno, the under-appreciated "King Of Bad Cars" who made 41 @F1 starts for AGS, Coloni, Eurobrun, Benetton, Jordan, Minardi, Andrea Moda & Forti.
He stood on the last all non-European podium at Suzuka in...

Who was the greatest driver never to win an #F1 GP? Most say Amon. Or Behra. Both are good calls. But let’s also hear it for Jarier, who should have won F1 GPs but never did, thwarted by terrible luck. Click below to read my brand-new @Motor_Sport column.

@culture_f1 I had the pleasure of interviewing him for the British magazine ‘Competition Car’ after he won the 1973 British Grand Prix. A gentleman.
English

@TheHardCompound @PaulONeill29 Don’t get me started. I watched it and grimaced. I tried to view it with an open mind but, sad to say, that wasn’t the Ayrton Senna I knew. Let’s move on.
English

@PaulONeill29 Even taking into account the inaccuracies and errors, the whole things feels like a half-baked attempt at an easy win using the Senna name.
Didn't sit right.
English

@culture_f1 For me Jarier was a raw talent denied GP success by the unreliability of his race cars. Had he won in Argentina, Brazil and Canada, then he’d be regarded as one of France’s best but fate decided otherwise. 🐸

@tyrrell005 @TheBishF1 Nino Farina. 1950 Swiss GP. We don’t count Johnny Parsons winning the Indy 500 do we?

English

@TheBishF1 Mine was the 1958 Italian Grand Prix four days after I was born. Stirling/Phil Hill/Tony Brooks, not a bad podium!

Which #F1 GP was the first to take place after your birth? I was born on 25 December ’62, so my answer is the ’62 #SouthAfricanGP, which took place #OnThisDay 62 years ago. Pic: Jim Clark (Lotus 25; car #1) & Graham Hill (BRM P57; #3) at the start. Clark led then DNF’d. Hill won.

It’s been one of the best Christmas periods for ages! Thank you @JoeMacari @ScuderiaFerrari and former F3 champ and driver coach Rob Wilson played in the band!

English

@Formula1_OTD He won the first race I ever attended in his yellow F2 Ferrari 500 being the 1953 Berlin GP at AVUS.

Remembering F1/sports car driver Jacques Swaters, who died aged 84 #OnThisDay in 2010.
Team owner of Ecurie Francorchamps & later Ecurie Nationale Belge, Swaters drove Talbot-Lagos & Ferraris in seven GPs between 1951-1954, finishing 7th at the Nürburgring in 1953.

@ShellMG @TheBishF1 @Motor_Sport It is still operating via the Gunnar Nilsson Cancer Unit at the Charing Cross Hospital. @ShellMG
English

@TheBishF1 @Motor_Sport I was just 16 yrs old and F1 was my world (back in 1978 I didn't know any other girls who were into F1). I remember feeling so sad about Gunnar's passing and I've never forgotten him. I wonder if the charity he set up is still operating? 🇸🇪
English

Today, Gunnar Nilsson should be celebrating his 76th birthday. He isn’t because he never made it to his 30th, struck down by cancer at a tragically young age. He was a super-talented #F1 driver. I wrote about him for @Motor_Sport a year ago. Click below.
