WEEKEND | Rain begins LATE Friday and into Saturday. The new data for Saturday is looking damp and breezy. Wind gusts of 25-35 mph and steady rain along the beaches is looking more likely as the coastal storm passes by. Rain will begin to taper off Sunday. #scwx #ncwx #myrwx

NEXT BIG CHANGE | A cold front will bring a line of downpours to the area Wednesday afternoon and through the evening. We'll keep a few showers around early Thursday before winds usher in cooler and drier air for the end of the work week. Some spots struggle to reach 70 Thursday.

FUTURE RADAR | The exact track and strength of Imelda will determine how much moisture and tropical downpours are able to be slung into our area. Latest runs continue to show a "top heavy" storm with a lot of moisture being introduced Monday through Tuesday. #scwx #ncwx

MORE GOOD NEWS | Even with impacts from Imelda, we will see much-needed rainfall and then cooler and drier air following the system. Look at those temperatures for the end of the week. #scwx #ncwx #myrwx

MONDAY AM UPDATE | We now have a 40% chance of tropical development over the next 48 hours. Based off the latest data, a tropical depression is expected to form later this week and will likely become Gabrielle. There is NO THREAT to the Carolinas at this point. @JamieArnoldWMBF
