@prairiecentrist @maxfawcett In 1932 and 1933, millions of Ukrainians were killed in the Holodomor, a man-made famine engineered by the Soviet government of Joseph Stalin. They chose the lesser of two evils at the time.

Trudeau-Singh Government announcement on JASPER FIRES #JasperNationalPark This area is under federal Liberal-NDP control through Parks Canada. We share with common Canadians what we have done to prevent and react to forest fires: 1. For decades, we've allowed forests devastated by pine beetles to continue with large swaths of dead, dry trees. By not removing them, we demonstrated our climate and ecological virtue while also creating optimum conditions for an inferno. 2. We appointed a Minister for Emergency Preparedness who is an expert in claiming to be who he is not and to have done what he did not. Harjit has demonstrated greatness in competence in this fire emergency without getting singhed. 3. Parks Canada has focussed on priorities like pronouns, DEI workshops, and focus groups on Gaza trans allyship, rather than boring pedestrian matters like forest management. 4. Dear Leader Justin Trudeau promised millions for water bombers and firefighting teams, and did not deliver. This is one of our core values: over promise and under deliver. 5. We remain committed to sending billions of dollars to Ukraine to help Ukrainian officials buy expensive properties on the Mediterranean coast. Some have pointed out that we could have financed hundreds of water bombers and the teams to operate them, but in response we'd like to make clear that it's far easier to get kickbacks when we send money to Ukraine. 6. Indigenous peoples and outdoorsmen have been raising the alarm for years about our poor forestry management practices, but what would they know? Obviously the Trudeau-Singh government and our DEI hires are far better in competence. 7. Our head of Parks Canada was trained at the same school of mismanagement as the former head of Victoria's Secret Service. 8. The fires have been raging on federal land for days now. Because the fires are on federal land, we obviously let the province of Alberta deal with our problem first. That's a core value for us: to neglect our responsibilities in order to give others an opportunity to step in and take the blame. 9. After days of out-of-control wildfires on federal land being battled by provincial efforts, we have now finally announced that we are granting the request for help. In any sane world, we would have been doing our job days ago, and would have been the ones making the request to the province for help. As a common citizen, you simply don't have the intelligence to understand the nuances of this. 10. Let it suffice for you common citizens of inferior intellect to accept that the wildfires caused and aggravated by our incompetence, failures, lack of preparedness, ideological commitment to DEI, malfeasance, corruption, ignorance, and laziness are clearly the consequence of climate change. Yes, dear common citizens, climate change causes incompetence and corruption. And we all know who is responsible for climate change. YOU are. You chose to heat your home last winter. You choose to put gas in your car to get to work, or to drive to visit your elderly parents. Your selfish choices to eat food, drive your car, and heat your home have created this catastrophe. As your Minister of Environment and Climate Change I want you to stop and reflect today on how you could do better. Take your time to engage in sober reflection about how all the ills and problems in Canada are because of you. When you're done, after about 5 hours, write a voluntary cheque for $2000 in carbon taxes so we can send it to Ukraine. It will make you feel better. And we get 10% for the big guy, so it will help us feel better too.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there.  My dad was my hero — and he still is. And to Xavier, Ella-Grace, and Hadrien: no matter how exciting or fulfilling this job is, nothing beats being your dad. Love you.

Jamil, you are a non-nonce person in Parliament regardless of the party you represent! I am honored that you represent Canadians in your area and most importantly, talk for many Canadians regardless of where we live. I missed listening to you when you were on CKLW (Windsor) and am now excited to listen to you as a politician. I hope Mr. Poilievre realizes you are someone in our Conservative party who should be placed in a worthy position, when he becomes our next Prime Minister!

Liberals cite their friends with PhD's and billionaires like Warren Buffett to argue their carbon tax economy is good for people. I cite actual gas bills with carbon tax charges that make food and gas too expensive for hardworking families. We are not the same.

The most recent instalment in my series on tipping. This restaurant (in LA) is proudly "no tipping" but we saw this 16% fee. The waiter told us "They want us to say it's for operational costs."

Here’s what The Counteroffensive is reading today: The goalposts for the invasion of Ukraine have moved. The liberation of Russian soldiers (captured during their own ‘special military operation’) has become a top priority according to Minister Shoigu. thedailybeast.com/sergei-shoigu-…

How many are aware that non citizens actually voted in yesterday's Toronto mayoral election? I'm not sure if that would have made the difference. I just don't know. Discussions on WeChat show some people are not citizens but voted #TOpoli

@journo_dale I know it's no consolation but according to google Russell Jones is the name of registered sex offenders in Australia, UK, Texas and Florida. Would like to block but I'm spoiled for choice.

@KarenWenLin @duncandee So Canadian taxpayers sent money to the "store front" organizations China's Designated Community Leaders have set up on Canadian soil. I missed this. How do you know?

@CardingtonSheds @nytimesbooks My comment on overloading came from memory of a book about the R100 and R101 history. It was read at least 40 years ago and written well before that.

@wmcooke @nytimesbooks No cover tear is needed, no sudden gas cell deflation is needed, no elevator cable snapping is needed. Simple mechanical turbulance and low-level flight due to the storm. 60mph + head wind suddenly hitting the top of the fwd section of the ship, forcing her downward. Fin

R101 was the most impressive airship the U.K. had ever produced. But, as S.C. Gwynne relates, its maiden flight was not a triumph. “Suffice it to say that the voyage ended badly, as dirigible flights often did,” writes our reviewer. nyti.ms/3HoJ4yz

@KarenWenLin @ZanyZav If you limit yourself to comparing the number of immigrants now to when there was a gov't, it may be that gangsters are more efficient in generating immigrants, as well as, deaths, rapes and chaos. Could you explain what you were thinking?
