2025 Topps Chrome F1 Overview & Analysis Topps quietly dropped the new F1 Chrome product this week right in the middle of an already packed release schedule—$240 for Hobby and $30 for Value Boxes. Hobbies are already bringing almost $400/box on Ebay, so it seems there could be some value potential with this release. I went through the checklist and odds to see what kind of production numbers and format value we’re looking at and here are my findings: First impression: we actually have Debut Patch Autos in this release… but only two drivers made the checklist. Not shocking since F1 has far fewer rookies than baseball, but still a bit underwhelming. On the plus side, this product is loaded with rare inserts and unique chases, so there’s definitely some entertainment value built in. Total Production Total cards: 11.846m Total base: 7.243m (36,213 copies per base card) Production by format: • Hobby: 74,376 boxes (6,198 cases) • Value Boxes: 230,200 boxes (5,755 cases) Hobby boxes also include a Diamond Anniversary pack- basically the F1 equivalent of Chrome baseball silver packs. These can contain parallels and even autos, but autos are extremely tough pulls: only 23 total autos exist across all of these packs. Side note: it would be fantastic if Topps included silver pack odds in baseball releases the way they did here with F1. Additional formats produced: • F1 Sapphire: 10,475 boxes • F1 Logofractor: 10,600 boxes Hit Frequencies: Hobby • Autos: 1 per 2 boxes • Parallels: 11.58 per box • Inserts: 12.54 per box • Numbered cards: 4 per box Value Boxes • Autos: 1 per 105 boxes • Parallels: 6.46 per box • Inserts: 5.11 per box • Numbered cards: 1.52 per box Diamond Anniversary Packs (1 per Hobby): • 1/1 Autos: 1 in 3,234 packs • Numbered Parallels: 1 in 2 packs Sapphire (not priced yet): • Autos: 1 per 1.85 boxes • Numbered parallels: 3.38 per box • Inserts: 0.81 per box Logofractor (also not priced yet): • Autos: 1 per 157.5 boxes • Numbered parallels: 2.36 per box • Inserts: 2.45 per box Value Breakdown (Hobby vs Retail) (Sapphire and Logofractor excluded since pricing is TBD) Dollar per card: Value: $1.25 Hobby: $2.86 Dollar per parallel: Value: $4.64 Hobby: $20.73 Dollar per auto: Hobby: $480 Value: $3,147.90 Dollar per numbered card: Value: $19.74 Hobby: $60.45 It’s honestly a tight call between formats- it truly depends on what you prioritize as they are two completely opposite ends of the spectrum. For $240, you can grab one Hobby box or eight Value Boxes. For that same spend: • Hobby gives you: 50% chance at an auto, 11.6 parallels, 4 numbered cards, 12.5 inserts • Value gives you: 51.7 parallels, 12.16 numbered cards, 40.88 inserts… but just a 7.6% chance at an auto Another key point: no auto variation overlaps between Hobby and Value. Every auto type is format-exclusive, with nearly all of those falling within Hobby. With only ~2,200 autos landing in all Value Boxes combined, retail is a terrible choice if you’re chasing autos. But if your priority is parallels and insert volume, Value Boxes are the clear winner. Insert Availability Notes Most of the top-tier rare inserts—The Grid, Ultrasonic, Vegas at Night, and Helix—are Hobby-exclusive. Futuro and The Chain hit both formats but are easier pulls in Hobby. Neon Nations is actually cheaper to hit in Value. The Grail insert chase should be a fun wrinkle: a 9-card set (print run ~28 ea) where the first two collectors to complete it win Grand Prize and Runner-Up Prize Autos. Print Run Estimates Parallels: • Refractor: ~3,800 each • Checker Flag: ~375 each • Black & White Raywave: ~3,450 each • Black & White Lazer: ~1,060 each • Image Variations (10 cards): ~100 each Insert Print Runs: • 1975 Speed Wheels (10 cards): ~26,400 • Ace of Trades (10 cards): ~26,400 • F1 Chrome Diamond Drives (9 cards): ~29,300 • Floor It (10 cards): ~26,400 • Four & More (4 cards): ~57,550 • Helmet Collection (10 cards): ~26,385 • Speed Demons (11 cards): ~24,000 • Top Speed (10 cards): ~23,000 • Futuro (5 cards): ~1,470 • Helix (20 cards): ~106 • Neon Nations (9 cards): ~1,330 • The Chain (10 cards): ~370 • The Grid (10 cards): ~62 • Ultrasonic (14 cards): ~89 • Vegas at Night (5 cards): ~155 • The Grail (9 cards): ~28 Autos: Most auto types are numbered. Base Chrome autos should be ~400 copies each. Raywave autos appear on the checklist but no odds were given, so print run is not determinable. Relics: There are 72 different 1/1 Diamond Anniversary Base Relics across Hobby and Retail, each containing an actual diamond embedded in the card. #thehobby #2025ToppsChromeF1

We want to share an important update regarding the 2025 Topps Chrome® Formula 1® Grail Program. Due to a production error, both coded and non-coded versions of the Grail cards were inserted. The non-coded version was created for internal testing purposes and was not intended to be included in the product. Only coded cards are eligible for Grail prizes. We apologize for the production error. Topps will issue $5,000 in FanCash for each verified non-coded Grail card submitted. To be eligible for FanCash, please complete the steps outlined in the FAQ section prior to February 27, 2026. ripped.topps.com/2025-topps-chr… We appreciate your understanding and continued support of Topps and the Grail experience.
