@Tiffany31016503 @mask_bastard Is that GATE? The one where the middle aged men lust over minors? But it's ok, cos one of the minors is 300 year old demon trapped in a minors body... 🙄

@el_nuru_luin @RinoTheBouncer Well, they're not just switching out the development team. They're switching out the art team and the writing team normally with people fresh out of college that have never done anything in any official capacity before. and are afraid of questioning higher ups judgment.

@wolfn139 @RinoTheBouncer It is yeah but i think the main issue is at management level, not necessarily for switching resources thats horrible on its own right but because their vision is terrible from the start

@el_nuru_luin @RinoTheBouncer I'm not saying that everyone making AAA games are bad at their job, but they aren't given the opportunity to develop the talent needed to make more sophisticated projects. Avowed is a perfect example of this.

@wolfn139 @RinoTheBouncer Could be an issue but are we really seeing bad programming in game dev right now? Sure there sure some optimization issues but not as many cases are "template" ganes, copy paste design, just make it fun thinking, and just lack of originallity in AAA

@Gestersrs @JJunkWarrior because most people didn't touch DS2. and a decent portion who did went into it thinking it played the same as the rest of the series and proceeded to make it a lot harder on themselves & proceeded to just abandoned it. DS2s biggest mistake was simply calling it dark souls.

@wolfn139 @JJunkWarrior and that's perfectly understandable. I can see why some people prefer ds3 but for some reason a lot of ds3 fans shit on people who like ds2 and like you said, a lot of the best parts of elden ring actually came from ds2 and were then polished for ER

@JJunkWarrior These people fail to recognize that most of us didn't have a large catalog of games to choose from growing up. So when we became adults, we dove into a massive backlog of games. most people criticizing newer games played the older games for the first time recently.

@Gestersrs @JJunkWarrior DS3 was also my first souls game. and I prefer DS3 over DS2 gameplay wise, but everything else I think 2 is actually better. People who bash DS2 always use the same argument that originally came from a let's player that couldn't adapt from DS1. but they praise Elden Ring.

@wolfn139 @LucasFryman That isn't what Corporatism is. Corporatism is the state forcing societal cooperation by eliminating leftist agitators among the poor and eliminating traitorous, internationalists in the business sector.

@Void_Bourn @LucasFryman ah yes, what we need is idealists advocating for the deliberate acceleration of technological, or societal processes to trigger radical change. often with the end goal to collapse the system. Because that's worked out so far. No, the people need to take charge again.

@Void_Bourn @LucasFryman Yes, in a system in which people are competitors there will often be a winner. but there will also always be competition. Our government should be acting as impartial referees.

@wolfn139 @LucasFryman All free market competition trends towards a winner, wherever a state power is absent, one will seek to fill the vacuum, hence companies will seek to become their own state power. The state is a utensil wielded by a specific class interest, dictatorship of the bourgeois is here

@el_nuru_luin @RinoTheBouncer These companies don't keep developers around long enough for them to actually learn the skills required to do it. and don't give them the time to, because they don't plan on keeping them around. That's the real problem.

@The_Chungunist @LucasFryman the only real difference between the 2 is the scale & Corporatocracy blames capitalism as a system while corporatism acknowledges it can exist in any system. The concept of corporatism has been around since the 1800s. Corporatocracy was coined in 1970s

@wolfn139 @LucasFryman That's Corporatocracy, Corporatism should be a term Reserved for Fascist Economic theory. The use of Corporatism for Corporatocracy muddies the Waters for absolutely zero reason.

@Void_Bourn @LucasFryman We don't need a dictatorship to ensure free market. in fact, that is one of the easiest ways of destroying a free market. of course the market won't regulate itself. that's why we the people need to make sure that the market stays truly fair and free by restricting corporatism.

@wolfn139 @LucasFryman No, the point is, "the free market" itself does not self regulate, so a dictatorship of the proletariat is necessary to preserve the freedoms and financial safety of the general populace, against higher class moneyed interests

@Void_Bourn @LucasFryman Yes, corruption will always exist regardless of the structure attempted. because greedy heart will always seek power. It's up to the people, to make sure our systems stay in place and do the proper job of protecting everyone.

@wolfn139 @LucasFryman It does not matter if checks an balances are attempted. All we have to do is look to practical examples in contemporary history. One of the greatest acts of betrayal of to Constitution was the repeal of Glass-Steagals act which allowed the illegal citigroup merger

@wolfn139 @RinoTheBouncer The talent has retired, been fired, or become indi developers. Companies don't want to admit their mistakes because it reflects badly to shareholders, that means less money, with broken promises to shareholders and gamers alike. Gamers figured it out before shareholders

@Carrot_breath @RinoTheBouncer That's the thing, corporations don't give them the time to learn those skills, so they don't have the talent or skills to do it. Instead, they will fire an entire team regardless of the quality of the game, just so they can hire new people and receive tax cuts.

@thesupian1 @LucasFryman Except corporatism has existed in socialist countries, Communist countries, fascist countries. Corporatism is not exclusively the result of capitalism. it is the result of the government turning on its people to enrich itself and its friends.

@wolfn139 @LucasFryman The purpose of a system is what it does. If "capitalism" just keeps careening into whatever you wanna call the actual system of capitalism, then it's the same as that thing.
