Just written up my Normandy Butterflies '24 tour report – 39 butterfly, 106 bird & lots of rare dragonfly & plant species. Though just across the Channel from Dorset, on these short July breaks I’ve now seen almost as many butterflies than reside in all the UK! @naturetrektours

Slogging through waterlogged Winter Bird Food plots all day, but rewarding. After three years, this local farm is now really delivering for farmland birds with big increases over the last 2 years. Totals included 4 Corn & 27 Reed Buntings, 90 Yellowhammers and 114 Song Thrushes

Wow! 52 White Storks over Puncknowle yesterday! Great record, and likely to become a more regular event as the reintroduction gathers pace. But how many of us did they fly over unnoticed?!
Tom Brereton@tom_m_brereton

The incredible sight captured by beachbuddy10 from Instagram, of 52 White Storks flying over Puncknowle, West Dorset yesterday flying west towards Bridport. The biggest ever UK flock? @BirdGuides @DorsetBirdClub @KneppWilding @CharlieBurrell_ @bbcwildlifemag
