Media Do announced today they acquired US Manga Publisher Seven Seas for 12.4 Billion Yen ($80 Million USD) • As of reporting, Seven Seas has not issued a statement in regards to the acquisition

@Gaijinotousan @harrynzmi it’s not the gamification that's bad about Duolingo, it's that you need to have gamification with material that actually teaches effectively. try Wanikani for kanji or renshuu for everything

The thing about education at the 6th grade level is You are only at this critical age once What I am concerned about is the lack of potential things to be curious about For me 6th grade was one of the most formative years of my life. I fear him not having an age of self discovery Japan is outstanding at raising responsible kind thoughtful people but I fear the public school’s ability to awaken the mysterious curios person emerging in him

@GodanoMarco on the third hand, that can be tricky because I think the skill to know what it's safe to leave - what an editor can and can't fix, assuming they're not that fluent in Japanese - is one that isn't obvious and that beginning translators have to actually acquire.
