@ChuckPfarrer @TrentTelenko The fiber optic piece is new to me. I spent some time today to educate myself in order to understand the technology. Thanks for those commenters who took the time to increase the knowledge.

North Carolina Tobacco Queens in 'Tobacco Bikinis', 1950s...
Regional promotional campaigns in North Carolina frequently tied tobacco to tourism and local identity, using pageants, festivals, and branded ambassadors to market the industry.
At the time, North Carolina was the leading tobacco-producing state in the U.S., accounting for roughly 40% of national output. Tobacco was a central economic driver, employing hundreds of thousands across farming, processing, and manufacturing.
Events such as harvest festivals and agricultural fairs often featured “queens” or representatives to promote crops, similar to roles seen in other commodity-based regions (e.g., citrus, cotton, dairy). These promotions were commonly supported by major tobacco companies headquartered in the state, including R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company.
Public perception of tobacco in the 1950s remained largely positive, prior to widespread health warnings that would emerge in the following decade.
In 1964, the U.S. Surgeon General released a landmark report formally linking cigarette smoking to lung cancer, marking a major turning point in public awareness and regulation of tobacco products.

BAD:
Eschew comparatives and plural, but also the sophisticated and puerile.
Beware the dreaded double letter, especially when not placed together.
Intuition is fantastic but also, shall we say, elastic.
Success is still a double-bogie, but not for this old fogey.
