@specialtrees01 @BunniiFangz @ToonHive @SadieBy81859 it was for efficiency and bugetary reasons, cgi costs alot less in the long run rather than regularly building and maintaining props and sets

@wonkyfunnel @BunniiFangz @ToonHive @SadieBy81859 No, it would've cost a lot of money to make a bunch of new assists in CGI. Tracks, sets, textures, a newly made CGI engines, trucks and humans.
The big thing the change to CGI had over models production wise, was being able to turn out episodes WAY faster.

@BunniiFangz @ToonHive @SadieBy81859 Said huge cast of characters being part of why the Thomas toys sold so well - not just quality, but also the quantity of characters that existed.
Sorry for the rant, this is a topic I have lots of thoughts on lol
