This week we welcomed back Keith Barnaby from the City of Fitchburg Board of Health to provide a Narcan training for our summer interns. Our interns learned how to recognize and respond to an overdose and left with Narcan and valuable overdose response education.

Mary Lou and Kevin from our Outreach Team recently attended the open house at Hillview ADHC, where they had the opportunity to meet staff, connect with participants, and learn more about the valuable services the center provides to adults and their families. Thanks for having us!

Kevin and Mary Lou from our Outreach Team recently partnered with @ashburnhampd’s Officer Salo to talk about scams and preventing fraud at Ashburnham Senior Center! Residents heard about some common tactics scammers use and what types of scams are on the rise.

On July 28, 1980, 53-year-old William Beaumont was found deceased in his residence on Turner Road in Charlton. Beaumont lived alone and was located after a wellbeing check was conducted. Beaumont’s death was ruled a homicide.

This week, we teamed up with the @VTMFoundation and Force Defense & Fitness to host a self-defense workshop for our summer interns. Our interns learned practical self-defense techniques, situational awareness, and strategies to help keep themselves safe.

Educating our young drivers about safe driving practices is critical for everyone on the road. Yesterday we spoke with our summer interns about the dangers of distracted driving and the importance of making safe, responsible choices behind the wheel.
