A teacher friend just decided to make this year his last (8 years early). I asked him why, he said - Class sizes are ridiculous - Too much testing - Admin was overwhelmed & not helpful 😨 - Salary didn’t keep up w growing expenses - Zero accountability for parents & students 🙁

Hey, remember when we were all told that fidget spinners were a legitimate way to get students to pay attention in class? What's the current version of this gas lighting? (Extra points if you don't say smartphones.)

@RAD_is_awesome Welcome to work anytime, but if we work outside our contract hours, we are working at our own risk, with no worker's comp if injured. And we can push a button on the wall for 40 minutes of air conditioning at a time...

Of course you're allowed to stay after contractual hours and our Welcome-Back PD concludes to plan and prep your classroom. Oh, and if you need more time, the campus will be open over the weekend for you to work.
