Paul endured shipwrecks, beatings, stoning, prison—yet stayed faithful to the end. How? He kept his eyes on one thing. "Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3:13-14) What distractions are pulling you off course?

Spiritual warfare often looks ordinary …until it isn’t. There’s a lot of strange, dark, unnatural stuff happening lately & it’s deeper than most are willing to admit. And yes- it really is that deep.

Kevin James revealed he once fasted for 40 days straight — all for his daughter. She was on the spectrum, struggling with tics and sleepless nights. Nothing else was working. So he turned to prayer and fasting. He planned to do it one tough day at a time, but it stretched into 40. On the very day he was about to quit from hunger, his daughter told him she’d finally slept well. The breakthrough came quietly, not dramatically. He kept going. The prayers, he said, were being answered. In a noisy world full of quick fixes, this is a powerful reminder that turning to God and embracing discipline can open doors we can’t force open on our own. There’s something deeply encouraging about stories like this — they show that God often works in the waiting, through our small acts of faithfulness. It’s a beautiful nudge to keep showing up in prayer, even when it feels hard or pointless at first. Have you ever seen prayer and perseverance bring a breakthrough that surprised you?

The amount of hate coming from Christians regarding the late Dr. Michael Heiser is disturbing. Most of these people haven’t even read his books. They just repeat misrepresentations of him. Dr. Heiser definitely challenged the way I thought about the spiritual world and the word Elohim. Elohim doesn’t always refer to God (Yahweh). In some verses it clearly refers to Elohim as other spiritual beings. The church doesn’t teach us this because so few want to correct church tradition. Dr. Heiser inspired me to dig into scripture and history and I wrote this article a while ago about the Sons of God in Genesis 6. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Heiser. The reward is real: "Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing." (2 Timothy 4:8) Keep your eye on the prize. Run to win. What’s the “one thing” you’re pressing toward today? (From my latest: johandutoit.substack.com/p/one-thing-i-…)

Even in hardship, you can finish strong—if you fix your focus. Life throws endless distractions: past failures, present troubles, future worries. Paul’s secret?Forget what’s behind (don’t let regrets anchor you) Reach forward to what’s ahead Press on toward the prize

Yesterday a young man came up to me after church with tears in his eyes. He told me he is dyslexic, and cannot read well. Years ago someone introduced him to my scripture songs, and he has been able to soak in the word of God ever since! He said he's my top listener on Spotify. What a humbling and beautiful affirmation of God's work through me, especially meaningful after losing some of my finger on Saturday. Thank you, God.

@Ihunanya_chi Amazing privilege God gave us! For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. 1 Corinthians 14:2

The day I received the Holy Spirit, I began speaking in tongues. I was not even trying to speak in tongues, and I never expected it to happen that day. I just suddenly felt something on my forehead, like a sharp fire. I did not understand what was happening at first, but after a while, I began to speak in tongues. Now I have come to understand that speaking in tongues is one of the signs of the Holy Spirit’s presence. To speak in tongues, a person must have received the Holy Spirit.

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Romans 1:20,21

I was an anti-Christian secularist. I was a Saul. I didn’t like Christians. I never thought I’d become one. Jesus changed everything. I was lost but now I’m found. I was blind but now I see.

Congregational worship prepares the hearts of everyone present to hear from the Lord. It is far more than singing favorite songs, or simply enjoying the music. It is a deliberate journey that leads us out of the everyday grind and into the presence of God. This is why churches begin their services with thanksgiving, praise, and worship — to help people set aside worldly distractions, quiet their minds, and unite their hearts as they draw near to Him. True worship is not always a response to favorable circumstances. Instead, it flows from a personal revelation of who God is to you. buymeacoffee.com

Paul had a very hard life with all the troubles he endured: persecutions, shipwrecks, prison, beatings, stoning, etc. Despite all the distractions he kept his focus on one thing, and that is how he remained faithful to the end. Link in comments.
