The year 2026 marks the China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges. On March 29, the Global Link for Youth Actions China-Africa Youth Development Project Exchange and Communication Event was held at the China Youth Daily Youth Innovation IP Factory in Beijing. #APGYD 2025 NO.25 Planet One—Mboa Hub in Cameroon The “Planet One——Mboa Hub” project, led by Greenpeace Africa, provides support for youth actions in combating climate change. The program aims to boost the capabilities and self-esteem of young people worldwide by creating a platform for youth participation and advocacy. The Planet One program has established physical maker spaces in six different countries, attracting young people aged 15 to 25. APGYD 2025 NO.23 Youth Environmental Skills in Lebanon The “Youth Environmental Skills” project, led by Recycler, aims to promote international cooperation and volunteer services to address environmental sustainability issues. The program has launched the “River Recycler Boat” to reduce marine litter flowing into the Mediterranean Sea, and developed “Recycler AI”, an AI-driven machine to identify recyclable materials. So far, the program has reached over 15,000 youth through environmental workshops and collected more than 12,000 kg of recyclables.

On March 29, the All-China Youth Federation hosted the "Global Link for Youth Actions" in Beijing, utilizing a hybrid online and offline format. Eight youth representatives from seven countries, including China, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Senegal, Ethiopia, and Gambia, delivered insightful speeches centered on the theme "Digital Empowerment for a Better Future of China-Africa Cooperation." Seventy participants from over 20 countries attended the event and engaged in interactive exchanges. APGYD 2025 NO.22 Colombian Youth Biodiversity Network in Colombia The “Colombian Youth Biodiversity Network” project, led by Colombian Youth Biodiversity Network, is dedicated to various issues at different levels within Colombia. As of October 2024, this program has brought together more than 60 youth organizations from 16 states, representing a total of 600 Colombian youth. It has co-organized 3 national consultations and 3 summits, and under the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, has mobilized over 1000 young people to engage in biodiversity conservation.

APGYD 2025 NO.19 Urban Community Domestic Waste Sorting Program in China The “Urban Community Domestic Waste Sorting” program, led by Shanghai Jigan Aifen Environmental Protection Technology Consulting Service Center, adheres to the core concepts of reduction, recycling, and harmless treatment. Since its establishment, the program has promoted garbage sorting in 343 residential communities, covering more than 200,000 households. In these communities, garbage reduction generally reaches 30%, and the sorted food waste and recyclables have been recycled and reused.
