@modwoIves I would avoid The Bones of St Nicholas then. It's one of my faves but it technically has a hanging in it, althought not via noose if that bothers you x

In media one of the main uses for hanging is shock effect, like your stomach’s dropped. That’s surprisingly similar to what it is to find it in real life so not a huge fan of it being sprung on me
