@FaruqTawsif I really like the painterly look of these brushes! BTW, color jitter is now supported in texture paint mode and it can be controlled via pressure or jittered per stroke so you don't need to use the random texture workaround anymore as of Blender 4.5 :)

@KRUGSTON I saw this post six months ago and tried to write a plugin to do this. Then I realized it wouldn't work in a plugin and contributed a patch to Blender to add color jitter, so Blender 4.5 has this functionality in all painting modes now. Hope this is still useful a year out :P

Does anybody know of a color jitter brush plugin for Blender or resources to program one?

@rfleury 100% agree. Nix-shell + Linux namespaces bring us close to this ideal for native software but the execution/ease of use leaves a lot to be desired :/

The cleanest way to install apps is by typing a name and hitting enter, with automatic eviction. The web mostly achieves this, but unfortunately sacrifices other critical things in doing so. These are not technically mutually exclusive, though—better systems are possible.
