“Yen yen yen, Jesus never said He is God,” they say. So what exactly is this then? 👇 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” (Revelation 22:12–13) Who is the “First and the Last”? “I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.” (Isaiah 44:6) So how does someone just casually pick up titles that the Old Testament clearly attributes to God alone and start using them. Same title. Same claim. Same authority.

If you believe that Jesus died on a Wednesday or Thursday, that means Pentecost would've landed on a Friday or Saturday, according to the 50 day count. But we know Pentecost was on a Sunday, because it was 50 days after Yeshua's resurrection. This places Yeshua's crucifixion firmly on the Friday.

@AgainstAtheismX:⁣ ⁣ 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘴⁣ ⁣ 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘥?⁣ ⁣ One such verse that CINOS get wrong is at John 20:28:⁣ ⁣ 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟐𝟎:𝟐𝟖:⁣ 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 [𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬], “𝐌𝐲 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐲 𝐆𝐨𝐝!”⁣ ⁣ So what John tells us at John 1:1c is that Jesus, the Word, is divine, a god, an angel, a divinity, even as, and we know this to be true because John also wrote ⁣ ⁣ What Jesus’ apostle Thomas said to Jesus at John 20:28 acknowledges the fact that following his resurrection, Jesus no longer possessed the 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 he had before his death as a human being. Following his resurrection on the third day, Jesus now possessed a 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 since he was now a spirit being, “an angel of God” (Gal. 4:14). Many do not realize that all of God’s angels are spirits, divinities. (Heb. 1:7)⁣ ⁣ 𝐇𝐞𝐛. 𝟏:𝟕, 𝐊𝐉𝐕:⁣ 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡, 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚 𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞.⁣ ⁣ So when Thomas realized that Jesus was alive again, and that he was no longer a man, but he was now divine, 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥, Thomas said to Jesus, "My Lord and 𝕞𝕪 God!"⁣⁣ IOW Thomas now viewed Jesus as being his “𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐞” lord. Note that Thomas did not say, “My Lord and God,” but "My Lord and 𝕞𝕪 God, in recognition of Jesus’ divine status.⁣ ⁣ Jesus was no longer the human being he had known, but he was now an angel that had materialized in a clothed body of flesh so that he could be seen by Thomas and his other disciples, just as had Gabriel, the angel that appeared to John the Baptist’s father and Elizabeth’s husband Zechariah the priest, who had materialized in a clothed body of flesh so that he could be seen by Zechariah. (Luke 1:5, 8-19)⁣ ⁣ Unlike the religious leaders of his day, who accepted glory from other people, Jesus never accepted glory from others (John 5:41; 12:42-43), and contrary to what trinitarians—who claim to be Christians, but are in reality, Christians In Name Only (“CINOs”)—Jesus never claimed to be God. Jesus claimed to be “the Son of God.” (Luke 22:70; John 10:36)

Jesus refers "the gates of hell" not prevailing over the church (Matt. 16:18), but there is no "biblical doctrine on heaven and hell." Jesus was referring to the opening of the grave to release the dead by means of resurrection. As to your breaking down these gates 'to get her out if you have to' does sound to me like the grief you're beginning to experience over your mother's death has overtaken you. You speak of salvation, but I'm a Christian, and resurrection is clearly a foreign concept to you. (Acts 17:31; 24:15) The following post from a woman that was going through what you are going through (Christiana Coco) may address the grief you're going through at this moment, but I did read your post and it does indicate to me, Brian, a lack of knowledge on your part about what the Bible teaches: [cont’d]

Rabbi Brian Samuel
Rabbi Brian Samuel@rabbriansamuel·
My mom passed away today. 💔 I'm going to say something that will spark rebuke. I know what the Bible says about salvation. I stand by that and I will not waver from it. But I also know that God is merciful. And He is loving. And He is good. And my soul rests in that. I am not saying there is more than one way to eternal life. I'm saying that God is fierce and He is a fighter, and He will tear apart everything to reach one of His lost daughters. I'm not diverging from sound biblical doctrine. I know what it takes to be saved. But God will tear apart our pretty little doctrines to rescue a single soul. 2 Samuel 14:14: Yet God does not take away life but rather, He devises plans so that a banished person may not remain an outcast from Him. Oh, and when the time comes for me to enter into my eternal heavenly home, and she's not there? Guess what? I will go back and get her. Because my Lord Yeshua says that the gates of hell will not prevail. And gates swing both ways. So I will break down the gates of hell and get her out if I have to. Because I'm not entering into glory without my mother. So go ahead and share this and say that poor Rabbi Brian is preaching dangerous wishful thinking rather than biblical doctrine on heaven and hell. My hope is in a God who is merciful beyond our comprehension. And beyond our doctrine. See you in paradise, mom. I love you.

The birth defects that proximately result from inbreeding today (such as blindness, hearing loss, limb malformations and sex development disorders) were not an issue during the first 2,500 years when human beings were created and there was only one set of parents (Adam and Eve) alive on the earth, and back in 4026 BC, no other families existed. Marriages involved siblings in those days when people lived for many hundreds of years, and humans bore the children of one’s own brother or sister. All of such became unlawful in 1513 BC when the lifespan of people was reduced to 70 or 80 years and birth defects due to incest were inevitable as they are today.

List of specific parts that Trinity gets wrong: 1. Co equality John 14:28. Yeshua’s own words were “The Father is greater than I.” Scripture does not reconcile this into co equality. Trinity has to explain it away. 2. Co eternal in the same sense John 3:14, Proverbs 8:22-25 and Colossians 1:15 describe Yeshua as begotten, firstborn, brought forth, beginning. A son has a source. Trinity’s co eternity axiom requires denying what those texts plainly say. 3. The Spirit as a third co-equal person Scripture consistently calls it the Spirit OF YAHWEH, Spirit OF the Father, Spirit OF Yeshua. Belonging to someone is not the same as being a co-equal separate person alongside them. 4. Homoousios, same substance That specific Greek philosophical category appears nowhere in Scripture. It was imported from Greek metaphysics and imposed on Hebrew texts that never framed divinity that way. Trinity sounds like someone trying to fit biblical teaching into Greek philosophy instead of letting the Scripture speak for itself.
RET423@RET_423

@YahwehGraced The Trinity attempts to reconcile everything God says about Himself in Scripture into a single teaching, what part of that doctrine do you claim misrepresents what God says about Himself in the Scriptures? I ask because you claimed it is a Catholic, not biblical concept

How many people do you imagine would believe the Theory of Evolution (ToE), the theory that allele [gene] frequencies change over time by natural selection driven by common descent with modification; and that it is by means of such changes in these allele frequencies in a population over time that new species emerge to be as a part of science; if they had been permitted to grow up thinking for themselves and without the indoctrination they received as school children? You do know that there is no one that has 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 observed natural selection driven by common descent with modification cause one species to evolve into another species, don’t you? ⁣ Using the scientific method, one observes what happens and then, based on those observations, postulate a theory as to what might be true, test this theory by making further observations and by conducting experiments; observe what results to see if predictions based on the theory are fulfilled.⁣ ⁣ No one has 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 observed natural selection driven by common descent with modification cause one species to evolve into another, 𝐀𝐍𝐃 no one has ever proffered an explanation as to how it was possible for the prokaryotic cell and the eukaryotic cell to form by chance, 𝐀𝐍𝐃 no one has ever proffered an explanation as to how a single-cell embryonic human zygote could have reached the neonate stage and from being a boy becoming a man or from a girl becoming a woman composed of 100 trillion cells (e,g., bone cells, blood cells, brain cells, etc.) with no human intervention, 𝐀𝐍𝐃 no one has explained from where the detailed instructions embedded in the DNA molecule of plants, animals and humans came.⁣ One evolutionist wrote: ⁣ “We have no acceptable theory of evolution at the present time. There is none; and I cannot accept the theory that I teach to my students each year. Let me explain. I teach the synthetic theory known as the neo-Darwinian one, for one reason only; not because it’s good, we know it is bad, but because there isn’t any other. Whilst waiting to find something better you are taught something which is known to be inexact, which is a first approximation.…”⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ —Geneticist Jérôme Lejeune⁣ Why don’t we nurture our children to think for themselves? Why do we teach children to respect the authority of teachers, who are strangers to them? Why do we teach children to trust the things that their teachers are teaching them without reservation and without questioning the validity of the things they are being taught? We trust doctors to do no harm, but teachers are not doctors. In his June 2000 “Physics Today” article, a physics professor (Mano Singham) described the ToE as “propaganda” that are “brainwashing our kids”: “We only introduce arguments or evidence that support the currently accepted theories, and omit or gloss over any evidence to the contrary. “I use the trust my students have for me and for the institution, the university (Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio) and the physics department to effectively brainwash them. We who teach introductory physics have to acknowledge, if we are honest with ourselves, that our teaching methods are primarily those of propaganda. We appeal—without demonstration—to evidence that supports our position. “We only introduce arguments or evidence that support the currently accepted theories, and omit or gloss over any evidence to the contrary. We give short shrift to alternative theories, introducing them only in order to promptly demolish them—again by appealing to undemonstrated counter-evidence. We drop the names of famous scientists and Nobel prizewinners to show that we are solidly on the side of the scientific establishment.” [cont’d]

[2/2] Why? We teach our children to trust banks, don’t we? We teach our children to trust the teachers that teach them according to the school’s curriculum and the bus drivers that drive them to and from school, do we not? We force our children to obey these total strangers implicitly without reservation, do we not? The truth is we don’t nurture our children to think for themselves, but, rather to respect these strangers’ authority and without reservation or question! Sir Fred Hoyle was opposed to the ToE, so it seems fair to presume that he thought the mathematical probability of higher life forms evolving from an original single-cell common ancestor to be extremely unlikely, but I mention the law of entropy because it debunks the ToE. Entropy's main claim to fame is that, over long periods of time, everything in the universe will decay into simpler and simpler states until what is termed "thermodynamic equilibrium" is finally reached.⁣⁣ In physics, entropy is the measure of the disorder of a system. A system’s entropy increases as it moves from an ordered, organized, and planned state towards a more disordered, dispersed, and unplanned one. The more disorder there is in a system, the higher its entropy is.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ However, the ToE ignores this fundamental law of physics. The mechanism offered by evolution totally contradicts the second law of thermodynamics. The ToE says that disordered, dispersed, and lifeless atoms and molecules spontaneously came together over time, in a particular order, to form extremely complex molecules such as proteins, DNA, and RNA, whereupon millions of different living species with even more complex structures gradually emerged.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ According to this theory, this supposed process—which yields a more planned, more ordered, more complex and more organized structure at each stage—was formed all by itself under natural conditions. What the law of entropy makes clear is that this so-called natural process is a manifest contradiction of the laws of physics.⁣⁣ 𝘈𝘭𝘴𝘰, 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯 *𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩* 𝘦𝘷𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦? You don’t know God at all, so why even pretend that God could have created evolution? The ToE is taught as an alternative to belief that God is responsible for the creation of the universe, the earth and all terrestrial life. You sound foolish to me.

[1/2] @LatFilosof: 𝘠𝘦𝘴, 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘧 𝘦𝘷𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘮. 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘴𝘯'𝘵.

@Sean_McDowell No. The first is correct. But the second is not. An atheist doesn't have to explain why it *isn't* objectively evil, that would only be the case of atheism, for some reason, would entail such a claim. Which it doesn't.

The CHRISTIAN has the problem of answering why God allows something as horrific as the Holocaust. The ATHEIST has the problem of explaining why the Holocaust was not objectively evil. Agree or disagree? And WHY?
