Hot take: if wage growth had ever kept up with inflation, not just in the last 4 years, @MrBeast and other challenge for cash concepts wouldn't be nearly as successful as he is

@jbayzzz We had 20+ mph winds for over 24 hours, max gusts around 60-70 overnight. This has felt different.

Here come the douche bags playing politics when peoples homes are still on fire. You don’t live here in so cal. You don’t know what the Santa Ana winds can do. It’s blowing so hard! There is no way to fight these fires when it blows this hard.

I have another @NoLayingUp related goal. I would like to qualify for the NIT. I’m not entirely sure how to do this but I will try. Perhaps the Lowcal Roost? @wpschwarz

Am really excited to share what we’ve been cooking up since Adaptly was acquired by Accenture. But first, let me share how it all started. Garrett and I have now been building technology and startups since we met in undergrad at Northwestern University in 2009 (15 years!!). We started Adaptly in an entrepreneurship class my senior year and were quickly accepted into an accelerator in Philly and from there to New York where over the next 9 years grew the company to over 200 people and managed billions of media dollars. After integrating and learning a ton at Accenture, we decided to embark on our next startup in late 2022. We started getting really excited about the future of work and the incredible magic of getting together with your co-workers in person. Whether your company had gone full throttle on remote work or still adopted a multi-office in person culture, we started to gain conviction about this notion that all companies were effectively becoming distributed companies. One of the big challenges we saw leaders facing was managing all the logistics of getting their teams, customers, executives together. We talked to 100s of team leads, heads of travel, and employee experience professionals and nearly every single person struggled with the logistics of organizing their team travel and more specifically the process to source and manage their hotels and workspaces. We found it absolutely ABSURD that the process to source 9+ hotel rooms was still done highly manually and consuming 100s of hours for teams and still not being able to find the best opportunities for the quality of experience they were looking for and maximizing cost savings. Some companies we spoke with were doing 300-400 of these team trips a year! So today we’re launching Workgrounds to help companies easily manage their team’s travel, starting with an AI sourcing and booking agent to automate how companies find, book, and manage hotel room blocks. The Workgrounds booking agent can automate the full end to end process for procuring your hotel room block. Instead of submitting manual RFPs to each hotel, waiting for responses, parsing through proposals, comparing all the results you’re receiving, potentially further negotiating to get maximum savings, let the Workgrounds booking agent do all this work for you! And for many of our customers we’ve gone even further in the managing post booking workflows. From people dropping out of trips, adding new rooms, managing availability, communicating rooming lists, internally communicating what’s going on for each guest on your team. Workgrounds automates the full process post booking and change order management in an elegant manner as well. For companies that have to do this once a year or those doing group trips 100s of times for 100s of groups a year, Workgrounds can scale with your organization as needed! We see an amazing opportunity to bring this technology not just to hotel room blocks, but overtime launch and build capabilities to cover the full corporate travel stack for groups. It’s time to bring the team corporate travel booking experience to the modern age and Workgrounds with its advanced automation sets out to do exactly that. We’re proud to be supported by our great pre-seed partners @oceansventures , @HannahGreyVC , Volo Ventures, deftly.vc. If you’re someone who thinks about corporate travel or manages room block coordination for your team please reach out! We’d love to show you the product and give you our superpowers!
