Chertsey Town are excited to confirm the signing of winger Seb Bowerman following his departure from Farnham Town.
Seb made his name during 6 seasons at Bracknell Town, captaining the team that won promotion to the Southern League Premier South in 2021/22, where he weighed in with 29 goals during a campaign that culminated in him being named Pitching In Step 3/4 ‘Player Of The Year’!
This earned him a move to National League Dorking Wanderers, where he made close to 70 appearances over 2 years, 53 of which were at Step 1!
Having returned to the Robins during the 2024/25 season, Seb finished 2025/26 at Farnham Town where his 16 appearances contributed to their promotion to Step 2 and a cup winning double.
Curfews Gaffer Toby Little adds “We’ve admired Seb for a long time, so when he became available and indicated his desire to join us, we moved quickly to sign him. As one of the stand-out players at the level, Seb brings quality on the ball, leadership, and the ability to change games in a moment”.
Welcome aboard Seb, we can’t wait to see what you can achieve in the Curfews’ famous blue and white stripes!

Only if you buy the narrative that "their own countries have been ruined/war torn or had their natural resources extracted by the British".
There are many ex-British colonies that are now hugely successful. The British went to great lengths to leave countries in a stable and governable state. Many British envoys stayed in their respective ex-colonies for years to help facilitate their transition to national independence successfully.
Before the British arrived, none of the native peoples had the capability to extract their own resources. When they left, the British handed over the keys to the infrastructure that would allow them to utilise their own resources.
It isn't the fault of the British that many countries were unwilling or unable to maintain functional states after being given independence, infrastructure and the political institutions necessary to do so.
English

@linmeitalks Why do you think its acceptable to include skin colour in your question?
English

Question to white British natives only
Is it wrong for migrants to want a better life for themselves when many of their own countries have been ruined/war torn or has had their natural resources extracted by the British, Europe and America?
If Britain once owned or controlled their countries then left them in a an unstable/ unsafe state or continue to create wars there, why would they not come to the UK legally or illegally if allowed, when Britain has been part of ILLEGAL wars itself?
English

@triffic_stuff_ Exactly the Labour party and their supporters are that ignorant in their only little echo chamber they are literally destroying themselves.

Arlene Foster flabbergasted at how Labour talks about Reform voters
“When I heard in the House of Lords today one of the Labour members talking about Reform voters in such a disparaging way, I couldn’t believe it. I just couldn’t believe it!”
Exactly.
I don’t understand why this is so hard for politicians to grasp. Attacking voters as stupid, racist, far-right, Islamophobic, xenophobic or whatever label they reach for today, just because they voted for Reform or raised reasonable concerns about their country… it’s never going to win them back. It only pushes them further away.
This is the country now. People have moved right because of you, your policies, your failures, your disconnect.
If you don’t like it, get out of politics. Because that’s where Britain is.
Arlene is spot on: “When you disrespect Reform, you’re disrespecting the people that voted for them and I think that is something that Labour haven’t come to terms with.”
They’re so out of touch with the country it’s scary.

Two men live in Zone 2 London.
Both are around 30. Both sleep in a one-bed flat.
But only one believes he has a future in the city.
James was born in London.
He went to university, got a degree, found a decent job and now works at a marketing firm near Old Street.
He earns just under £60,000 a year.
On paper, he is doing well.
But every month James opens his payslip and watches a third of it vanish before he ever sees it.
Income tax.National Insurance.Student loan.Then comes the rent.
Nearly £2,000 a month for a small one-bed flat with mould around the windows and a landlord who only renews the tenancy six months at a time.
Every evening James scrolls Rightmove looking at tiny flats he cannot afford in the city he grew up in.
Even the cheapest one-beds near him now cost around £400,000.
The deposit alone feels impossible despite earning more than most people in Britain.
His parents bought their first home younger than he is now.
James still does not know if he will ever own one.
So he keeps renting.Keeps waiting.
He watches friends delay children.
People earning what used to be considered “good money” still checking every direct debit before payday.
Now meet Shaheed.
He arrived in Britain recently and was granted refugee status.
He does not work.
He lives in a one-bed flat in East London. His housing costs and council tax are largely covered through the welfare system.
He qualifies for free prescriptions, dental treatment and eye tests.
He does not spend his evenings worrying whether the next rent rise will wipe out what little he has left at the end of the month.
And this is the part driving so much public anger.
James works full time, pays a fortune in tax and still cannot see a long-term future in the city he was born in.
Shaheed does not work, yet has more housing security than the man whose taxes help fund the system.
That is how a city loses its young people, because they stop believing hard work leads anywhere.
London has to become a city where the people who work, contribute and build lives here can realistically afford homes, raise families and feel secure again.

And like clock work, Starmer deploys the same strategy that has been the fundamental cause of Labour's downfall from the start. He blames the British public for noticing their country turning into something unrecognisable. He says "I don't think that's British" to question "this diverse country".
Got an issue with mass migration and its consequences? You're not British, according to the Prime Minister.
That’ll win back the votes from Reform!
English

@Keir_Starmer Even after catastrophic destruction to Labour at the local elections it would appear based on these words that you still arent listening.
English

These are tough results for Labour. There’s no sugarcoating it. We’ve lost brilliant Labour representatives who’ve stood up for their communities.
People are still frustrated. Their lives aren’t changing fast enough. We haven’t offered enough hope or optimism for the future.
I was elected to change this country - tough days like this don’t weaken my determination to do that. They strengthen it.
English

@humphriezz Labour and conservative are just different ends of the same turd
English

@FarnhamTownFC Pleased for these lads, many of them experienced playoff defeat with the Robins against Truro a few seasons ago, so its fantastic that theyve experienced success on this attempt. I wish them well next season 👊

On Wednesday evening, over 600 nautical miles from their own country, the Israeli Navy violently boarded our ship that was sailing with the Sumud Flotilla in international waters. The Israelis said they would shoot us if we didnt stop the boat and give them conrol. They evebtually seized 21 ships and kidnapped over 180 people.
While they kidnapped us, they physically harrrased and beat us, as they stole our phones, money, and clothes. When i asked if we were being detained and why, i was told "i dont speak English."
The Israeli Navy intercepted 21 vessels altogether, and then took us to a Frigate, which was outfitted with shipping containers where we were forced to live the past two days. Israeli forces kept us in stress positions throghout, under floodlights. They fed us once with bread. Israeli forces took away some people one by one to beat and torture them; the Israelis dislocated the shoulder of a person on my ship, beat the face of a captain to a pulp, and gave severe concussions to at least two people.
I dont have a phone or money, but this is my update for now.
