On May 20, 2026, at about 12:34 p.m., Fairfield Police Officers responded to Fairfield High School in Fairfield, California, for a fight involving multiple students on campus. What happened next, captured on cell phone video and the department’s own body‑worn cameras, shows officers taking a student to the ground, punching him in the head with what they call “distraction strikes,” and dragging him by his hair on school grounds. Police say the students were arrested for causing a disturbance on a school campus and resisting arrest, and that no injuries were reported. Whatever language is used in the report, the footage speaks for itself. This level of force against a student is not acceptable and cannot become the new norm in our schools. This is the kind of force communities expect to be reserved for an armed threat, not a teenager involved in a school fight. A label does not change what the video shows, and the video does not lie. The officers involved must be held accountable.

On May 20, 2026, at Fairfield High School, Officer Bianca Brown allegedly used excessive force against student Maurice Williams. According to his father, the officer: •Ran up and grabbed Maurice by the hair •Slammed him to the ground •Punched him in the face multiple times while he tried to cover himself •Then dragged him by the hair after he was already handcuffed The family is demanding answers and justice, especially after learning about a press release they were never informed about.
