@WilfredBergqvi1 No coincidence that as soon as their former international scouting director took over that they just didn’t scout Europe at all. Makes me think Fredrikze signing was led by someone else. As soon as he was gone, they’ve signed several Europeans. They’ll be heavy in Africa soon

Really interesting to see the Yankees going from almost completely detached from Europe IFAwise to now being one of the most active franchises in Europe. Fredrikze (Netherlands, '25), Kubelka (Czech, '26), Niemeyer (Germany, '27) & Moura (Hungary, '27).

@AndThatsBB Love the idea but the KBO and Mexican teams would not be able to compete with MLB teams at all, maybe they win one out of 10 but the rest wouldn’t be competitive.

@8tjjones True but the dodgers have two DSL teams so that’s more than 70 spots available, I feel one of these guys would have been worthy of that but I don’t know the dodgers system that well

Really not sure why the Dodgers were so reluctant to sign Thysse Given and Bernard Eluk. They still haven’t made a decision on Dewoo Lony, a 6’3 16 year old up to 92.
Hopefully the days of them and the Pirates being the only MLB teams in Africa will be coming to an end soon.

Keep in mind the Dodgers can sign players out of Uganda for the 10k minimum no matter how good they are because the players have no other offer from other MLB teams except for the Pirates every now and then.

There was also a tournament between 6 U18 teams, which I took many videos of some players and planned to share on here, however my phone was stolen on the way back to the US, and the videos were not backed up to my iCloud.

Just came back from an amazing 10 day trip from Kenya with the Angels At Bat group. Over this trip I learned that there are over 30+ school baseball programs in Kenya! Many of which started with the last 5 years. Every single day we visited a 1-2 programs.
