Wearily fact checking since 2013. Also at @ https://t.co/eyiq74q4t6

I have noticed a pattern. Most abuse I get on here is from Liverpool supporters. Now I’m not saying that all Liverpool supporters have a low IQ 👀 but I have definitely noticed a correlation between Liverpool fans and their ability to engage their brain. Funnily enough the most horrendous people I met in the slammer were Liverpool supporters too, and indeed scouse. 🙈🙈 Up the fucking Toffees 💙

@ExtremeFootbal4 Ticketless fans were responsible for Hillsborough

1987: Serious overcrowding was observed at the Leeds v Coventry 1987 match, with Leeds fans crushed at the Leppings Lane, despite kick off being delayed by 15 minutes yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/sport/football…

The outside of the Leppings Lane was clogged up not because of ticketless fans, but for two key reasons. First, it was a notorious bottleneck. 17,000+ fans had to pass through this narrow opening marked by the yellow circle

@ExtremeFootbal4 Probably one of the several thousand without tickets that forced the gates open on that fateful day in Sheffield a couple of years later

10,100 tickets were sold for Liverpool’s terraces The HSE estimate in 1989 was that in total 9,974 fans entered the Leppings Lane The 2013 engineer’s report counted 10,044 fans So *both* exercises found there were *fewer* fans on the terraces than the number of tickets sold

If you are interested in the analysis that proved ticketless fans were not a factor at Hillsborough, have a read of this thread

@ExtremeFootbal4 Just like they stormed into Hillsborough and pretty much any other Semi-final - ticketless bin dipper fucks
