@ggellatly @Odoo It is a pity that they still have no proper way to triage tickets based on the issue and the reporter...and I agree, customer support has not to decide whether a ticket is resolved or not...they have to ask the client. period.

@ggellatly @bolshoi_booze_ True, and by this you see who is actually taking it real for running Odoo as it should be run (up-to-date as a lot of bug fixes are created daily), it would have hit us too...we have been lucky to have no instance anymore on 16.0, but this is kind of a wake up call to be careful.

@ggellatly @bolshoi_booze_ Good to hear, there is always a solution, but the hassle is real and does not build up trust to simply upgrade in stable without test run and checking for culprits. A test would fix this and it was not added even now...

...and for 18.0, still 17.0 is not yet processed, so keep an eye open, although it is most likely under control by #Odoo again...still not a great experience for quite some instances in the end. github.com/odoo/odoo/pull…

Alright, this is a clear warning for all existing #Odoo instances which are actually updated regularly...currently merge in 16.0 and 18.0...hopefully fixed today that it will not infect 17.0 too.

@ggellatly Not sure if I can follow, but yeah, did not have the use case yet you fixed/improved here I guess.

@ggellatly This is what we should do, helping to fix/improve things and get them merged in #Odoo Core...do you have an open PR? I will support it...not always an easy task and those who are in charge hopefully agree and welcome those or at least explain their rationale.
