Tomorrow morning, I will preach my final sermon as the pastor of @CCKPCA. It will be extremely bittersweet. I have preached through 42 of the 66 books of the Bible in my time here. It has been a great blessing to bring God's Word to a wonderful congregation!

@WVPitt 48ers? I know old guys around here who still harp about some random German family in Jackson who came in with weird political ideas.

My mom's family is generational in West Virginia, going back to the first white settlers into the Allegheny Mountains. My dad's are German immigrants who landed in eastern Colorado in the late 19th century. My grandma's mom was still alive when I was a kid and we would drive out to Boulder in the summer. Seeing the mountains rise out of the ground about five or six hours before you hit Denver is something that taught me about delayed gratification.
