Someone named Brett Meyer beat Cole Hocker in his prelim and now the reigning US 1500 champ is in danger of missing out on the final at USAs. This is arguably more shocking than Sha’Carri. We at least knew she’s a bit of a wild card.

Great men's 1500 in Nashville, with Clayton Murphy using the late, late move to get the win in 3:38.07 over Brett Meyer, who runs his fifth (!) pb of the year in 3:38.10. Meyer, the 2019 NCAA DII champ at Fort Hays State, entered the year with a 3:43 pb.

For the minor sports. Schools are actually saving money not having spring sports. Track, softball, lacrosse, etc. all lose money. By not having a season, Track teams, for example will save hundreds of thousands in travel expenses. Put those savings into scholarships.
