Now that computers and cell phones are exempt from tariffs, will people finally realize we have shifted from a punitive tariff system to an incentive tariff system. This is the big change in policy. I have been saying since the beginning the ideal situation would be 5-10% blanket tariff on all US imports and then remove or drop tariffs on products that we want to incentivize to come to the US. It was very easy to see where we would end up. All you had to do was listen to what the Cabinet was telling you they were going to do.
